off to see the wizard; a thread cut for length
It was true, Tatiana was not in Kansas anymore. She had learned that when her home was swept away by a vast tornado tossing her here and there. She had learned even more so still when that house landed upon a wicked witch granting her silver slippers. The brave young girl was now a hero to a people called the munchkins, blessed with a kiss by a good witch, and wished ill by another wicked witch for the death of her sister.
All she wanted was to go home. A way home.
Follow the yellow brick road.
They had said.
Follow the yellow brick road.
You're off to see the wizard. You're off to see the wizard!
And upon following she met a scarecrow, who wished she had a brain and so the brave young girl from Kansas would invite her along. A way home, a brain.
Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!
They would soon stumble upon the tin-woman rusted from days in the rain. The brave young girl would oil the tin-woman, and the woman made of tin would tell her that she wished she had a heart. So the brave young girl from Kansas would invite her along. A way home, a brain, a heart.
Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!
They would came across an angry, frightening lioness. An angry, frightening lioness who was not so very scary discovered the brave young girl. For all the lioness wanted was courage. So the brave young girl from Kansas would invite her along. A way home, a brain, a heart, courage.
Follow the yellow brick road!
And now the brave young girl from Kansas, her scarecrow without a brain, her tinwoman without a heart, and her cowardly lioness were in the center of a large palace standing within an emerald throne room, within an emerald castle, within an emerald city. She would take a breath.
"We have come to see the wizard!"
