Minor Injury Meme

A meme for those minor injuries that won't leave you down but make it hard to live your life. The breaks, sprains, and the hurt/comfort that comes with them.

INJURIES

1. SPRAIN: you stepped the wrong way, twisted the wrong way, and something has gone terribly wrong. Just remember RICE - Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation.

2. FRACTURE: You step off the sidewalk, working in the backyard, and suddenly BAM!! But it's not a sprain, oh no, you're in a cast for the duration. Good luck trying to get to work.

3. PULLED: It's not bad enough for medical attention but it still hurts something fierce. Break out the tiger balm or someone to give you a hand because you've pulled something. That awkward moment when you think you want vicodin...and nobody will give it to you.

4. MIGRAINE: Light hurts, air hurts, moving hurts. All you can do is lie in a darkened room and pray for the pounding pain to go away behind your eyes.

5. THE FLU: Maybe you're physically fine – well… all your limbs are working. You just feel like death warmed over.

6. WILDCARD: Anything else you can think of.

SCENARIOS

1. INJURED! WHAT NEXT?: You're out working, you're out having fun, you're out doing something when suddenly you step, twist, move and our bodies demonstrate just how fragile they really are. Quick! someone call the ambulance!

2. THE EMERGENCY ROOM: All the fun of a waiting room with rewards that include crutches, casts, X-Rays, vicodin, and sometimes just that one nurse who says "Yeah there's nothing wrong with you that'll be 400 dollars."

3. HOME AND SETTING UP THE NEST: Hurt, trying to make a space for you to get around. Hopefully someone is there to help you get to your crutches so you can go to the bathroom and make yourself something to eat.

4. PHYSICAL THERAPY HOME EDITION: The obligatory smut option. Do you not see that I'm wearing this cast?

5. OH GOD HELP I'M GOING TO DIE: That awkward moment when the fact that you are bedridden is crushing down on you and you're terrified you'll do something to make the injury worse. Snappish, angry, and rude - who are you going to take it out on?

6. DRIVE ME TO THE DOCTOR THIS SHIT IS COMING OFF: It's time, they say you can come in, take it off, and begin the next stage of recovery. Failing that, you’re going to grab a saw and cut the damn thing off yourself! Will there be joy, laughter, crying, happiness?

7. WILDCARD: Anything else you can think of.

"Well then, we go and get the most important stuff. We can store some of it here and some of it at Mr Miyagi's. We'll make it fit." Maybe they could even ask the other ex-Cobras to store some if they needed to.

But Danielle wasn't happy about the idea of leaving Johnny's belongings behind. Sid seemed the kind of pathetic, petty asshole that would destroy it just because he could.

Johnny made his way slowly behind her, he was still getting used to using his crutches on the stairs. He finally made it to the bottom, and moved after her, wondering what had made Sid come today. It's not like it was news, he'd been with Danielle and Lucille for almost a month.

When he made it to the truck, Mr. Miyagi moved to take his crutches and slip them in the back. "Johnny-San lean on Miyagi." He told him, and as Johnny did, Mr. Miyagi practically lifted him into the truck, and helped him adjust his leg.

Danielle hoped Sid wouldn't show his dumb face around here again. Johnny was so much better off without him. Even if he was cramped up in Lucille and Danielle's apartment with them. Not that Danielle was complaining because the fact she could get kisses and cuddles at any time of the day was incredible.

She climbed into the truck after Mr Miyagi helped Johnny in and instantly reached for his hand, lacing their fingers together. She drew a heart on the back of his hand with her thumb. A secret little message just for him.

Johnny rubbed his thumb on the back of Danielle's hand, tracing a heart on her hand in reply. Johnny didn't know what was going to happen, and he didn't like it. "I'm sorry, guys. You know I didn't want it to go down this way." Johnny said, sighing. He wished he could change all of this.

"Johnny-San no worry. It bad Papa's fault." Mr. Miyagi told him, shaking his head as he pulled out into traffic.

Johnny sighed. "I love you, babygirl." He told her, not sure if he even deserved to have them care about him. He leaned his head back against the seat, unsure of what else to say. "I don't deserve to have you guys stick up for me like that. And most of my stuff Sid got for me. But there are a few things I want to keep."

"And you aren't keeping my sweatshirt, missy." He told her, looking down at her. He smirked at her. "It's my favorite."

"I love you too, Johnny. We got your back. Always." One day Danielle would find a way to prove to Johnny that he deserved all the love in the world. Until then, she'd just have to keep reminding him that she loved him.

"And I am so keeping it. It's so comfy." It also covered up the semen stain on her shorts and her lack of bra perfectly.

As they approached Johnny's house, Bobby's car was already parked on the driveway. "So... when I went to grab the keys... I may've called Bobby," Danielle admitted. "You're in no condition to carry stuff with your busted leg. So he agreed to come help and he was going to try and round up as many of the guys as he could."

She leaned over to retrieve a stack of post-it notes and a pen from the glovebox. "'M' for anything you want to go to Mr Miyagi's, 'D' for anything you want to go to the apartment and 'S' for anything you want storing in Jimmy's parents' storage locker. Anything without a post-it gets left behind."

Johnny worked his crutches, and nodded at Bobby, as he got out of his car and joined them. "You didn't have to show, man." He said, as Dutch's car came pulling up too. Johnny was surprised he wasn't in jail. Mr. Miyagi got out of the truck, and Johnny nodded towards Bobby.

"Sensei, this is Bobby. And that mess that just got out of that Mustang over there is Dutch." Johnny said, rolling his eyes. Dutch was seriously the hottest hot mess Johnny had ever met in his life, and he was including himself. As Dutch walked up, Johnny gave him a Look.

"Dutch, don't hit on my girlfriend, I'll hit you with one of my crutches."

"Johnny, you're my best friend. Of course I was going to show. Tommy can't make it. He's on a date with Susan. And Jimmy said to give him a call once we have the stuff to go in storage and he'll meet us there."

Bobby looked at Mr Miyagi and gave a polite nod. "It's nice to see you again, Mr Miyagi." He meant it too, after all, Mr Miyagi had saved Johnny's life when Kreese tried to straight-up murder him.

Danielle gave Bobby a hug. "Thanks for coming, Bobby. Between all of us, we should be able to get most of Johnny's stuff out and loaded up between the truck and the cars before Sid has a chance to show his asshole face around here."

She shot Dutch a grin. "Ready to put those muscles to work, Stud?"

Dutch smirked at her, and put an arm around her shoulders. "Definitely, babe. Let's do this." He said, and picked her up, swinging her over his shoulders. Johnny growled. "Hey! I said no hitting on her!" He leaned against Bobby's car, and swiped Dutch's ass with his crutch, just making Dutch laugh.

Mr. Miyagi rolled his eyes. "No play, we get things." He said, looking at Johnny. He sighed, and moved towards the front door, so he could let them all in. "Laura might be home, she might not. Don't worry about it." He said, stepping back so they could go inside.

Danielle squeaked out loud as Dutch threw her over his shoulders, flailing a little until she was back on solid ground. She huffed at him and stuck her tongue out at him, before going into the house.

It was such a beautiful house. It was heartbreaking that such a beautiful place could be filled with such abuse, hatred and toxicity.

Bobby fell in step with Johnny, going slow with him as he used his crutches. "Dude, is Dani wearing your sweater? Must be pretty serious if you're giving up your clothes for her..."

"She had to, we were having sex, and Sensei came in, he brought dinner." Johnny said, keeping his voice low. He blushed, and that usually wasn't the way he did things. He wasn't a blushing person. He worked on taking the stairs, looking at Bobby. "Um, she might be knocked up.. And I kind of want her to be."

Johnny had never been so serious about a girl in his life. He looked up ahead of them, Dutch telling Dani some ridiculous story, and Danielle animatedly talking back. A soft smile set over his features. "I love her, Bobby. I I don't know when it happened. And she can do so much better than me." He said, shaking his head.

"Door's unlocked, guys." He called up to them, no one would have gone in there except the cleaning lady.

"Mr Miyagi walked in on you? Dude, you need to lock doors behind you. The guy is old. You might give him a heart attack." Bobby looked Johnny over, frowning a little at the other's words. He slowed to a stop, lowering his voice so only Johnny could hear him. "Holy shit, Johnny. Please don't tell me you've been trying to get her knocked up on purpose?"

He looked to where Danielle and Dutch were still talking, laughing, she was punching his arm playfully. They had all come so far since the day on the beach. But Dani was still so tiny compared to the rest of them. She even made Dutch look tall.

"Johnny... please don't tell me you've been pulling any stealth condom removal shit..."

Johnny stopped, leaning against the wall. "Um, no. We kind of... We've never used a condom." He said, it was true. "And no, I'm not trying to get her knocked up. I just, I wish it would happen. And to be fair, she doesn't like using condoms either." He told him, brushing a hand through his mop of blonde hair.

It was something he shouldn't be wishing. He knew that. But he couldn't stop himself. He let out a sigh, and reached out, taking Bobby's hand. They hadn't been together for awhile now, but sometimes Johnny slipped back into that familiarity they had. He held on tightly.

"I just, I think she's the one, Bobby."

Bobby gave Johnny's hand a gentle squeeze, and wrapped his free hand around it too, cradling Johnny's hand in both of his. He let out a soft sigh. "Johnny... I'm glad you've found someone who makes you happy. I really am. Dani is great. And she's great for you. You're so much happier when she's around. Back like you used to be before Sid and Kreese fucked you up. But listen... just because she's the one doesn't mean you need to rush into making babies."

He didn't want to sound judgy or like he was criticising. He just wanted to make sure Johnny didn't rush into a decision he regretted later down the line. "You're both still so young. And babies... they're a full-time commitment. Everything changes once a baby comes along."

"Listen, at the end of the day it's between you and her. But my advice would be to go to the family clinic and get her on birth control if she's not already. Then you can fuck bareback to your hearts' content and in a few years, maybe start thinking about a family then."

He shot Johnny a playful look. "Besides, that sweet, sweet lady chamber will never be the same after it's pushed a baby out." And it was so sweet and perfectly tight. Which was probably not something Bobby should be reminisicing about while his best friend, ex, and Dani's boyfriend was currently beside him holding his hand.

Danielle backtracked to find out what was taking Johnny and Bobby so long. "Hurry up, guys. We can't move anything until Blondie tells us what's going where!"
