A fanvid style video to this song. The video starts with Warren, around three years old, as he sits on the floor of the living room playing lego. Around him his parents walk around in circles, clearly in the middle of a heated argument. Time seems to pass by for a few years in this manner, as Warren grows but remains on the floor playing with various toys or staring at the television with his parents becoming increasingly angry at each other until his Dad stalks off and his Mom falls onto the couch in sobs. A six year old Warren moves to curl up next to her. There are more snippets put together as the years go by some more. Around Warren the house starts to fall into an increasingly more disorganized state. He's seen trying to clean up but he's still young himself. There are snippets of his Mom on the couch, a glass of wine with a a bottle beside it, as time passes there's more wine, then a prescription bottle. She's becoming increasingly checked out as the video goes on. Warren is seen putting food down on the coffee table for her, taking empty glasses. You can hear him talking on the phone to someone at points, presumably Mox and saying that no, he'll go over to Mox's instead of hanging out there. Warren is twelve. He sits in the hard plastic chair in the hospital hallway. He glances over and sees his Nana talking to a doctor. There's a few snippets of dialogue - the doctor throwing around terms like depressive episode, inpatient treatment, and finally asking if Warren has someone to stay with. The scene shifts and Warren is sitting at the table with his Nana, they're reading from a script and for the first time in the video Warren looks happy, engaged. There's snippets of his Nana with him at auditions, and ice cream for the victories or the losses. Life keeps going in the video, Warren's living with his Nana and his Mom filters in and out of the scenes, in various states from completely happy and with it, to withdrawn and near comatose on the couch, or the bed. |
