You and your fellow arrivals have been chosen to create your own civilization on the island of Paradiso by the Powers That Be. You might feel just the slightest bit dizzy and fuzzy; your memories have been altered in such a fashion that you believe you've volunteered for this project. You'll arrive with the clothes on your back and whatever you happen to have on your person at the time; the first arrivals will also have a few helpful tools to start, but on the whole, your job on the island is to build your society from the ground up. Don't try calling out to friends and family — why would you? You've volunteered, so of course you've already let them know you'll be unavailable for the foreseeable future — because you're on a whole new planet. Good luck getting that cell phone to work. While you're here, you'll be expected to build shelter for yourselves. You'll need to hunt, gather, or garden to acquire food and there are plenty of freshwater lakes on the island for water.
