it started as a grand experiment in the entertainment game. as its popularity increased, the franchise expanded. the arenas became grander and more diverse. the fighters were given their own self-functioning city, located on a floating island. and as long as they abide by the rules and fight when they're told to, life can be quite good.
you have been brought to fight for their entertainment. they are simply known as the aliens although they have only ever appeared to their captives in human forms. very little is known about them except this: they are very powerful and they do not like to be bored.
there is no escape, there is only the arena

Welcome to Paradise Island and Resort, Maybe you finally booked that vacation of a lifetime, or maybe you don't have any idea how you got here at all. Either way, you can rest assured you'll have the time of your life. The resort provides every amenity but, if you are of the more adventurous type, feel free to explore the town or the wilder and uninhabited parts of the island.
Home? We wouldn't hear of you leaving. You are our special guest. And why would you really want to? It's Paradise.

We are here to make your stay absolutely memorable. ♦ The Management Almost Paradise is a new pan-fandom game on InsaneJournal that is seeking fun, creative and dedicated players to join us. The game centers around an island that characters are brought to. Upon arrival each character finds themselves a guest at the island's resort. They can remain there, if they choose, or seek housing and employment elsewhere on the island.
