~thegladiators is a panfandom game based on the premise that aliens have been taking characters out of their respective canons to battle in a variety of gladiatorial arenas at least once a month for the televised entertainment of the masses. More details can be found in the premise and FAQ links above! Here are some specific fandoms and lines we're hoping to bring to the game:
DOCTOR WHO Right now we have Amy Pond and Rory Williams in game and a hold for the Doctor (Eleven) which means we'd love to have more incarnations of the Doctor, more companions, and I'd personally love to see some more minor characters.
FINAL FANTASY (IV, VIII, IX, & XII) We have Rydia of Mist, Squall Leonhart, Beatrix, and Basch fon Ronsenburg in the game. Players are looking for Garnet, Kain, Ashe, Gabranth, summoners generally and the rest of the cast from these and other games.
THE HUNGER GAMES We have Katniss Everdeen, Peeta Mellark, Finnick Odair and Annie Cresta in game. We're looking for President Snow, Johanna Mason, Effie Trinket, Cinna, Portia, Atala, Seneca Crane, Enobaria, Wiress, Beetee, other tributes (particularly from Four), other victors, and other members of Squad 451. Players in game have expressed an interest in Haymitch Abernathy, Maysilee Donner, Mr. Mellark, and Mags in particular but we'd be excited just to see more Panem faces generally.
MARVEL From any canon, including movie-verse! We've got Carol Danvers/Ms. Marvel in game; Steve Rogers/Captain America, Clint Barton/Hawkeye, and Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow pending; and Tony Stark/Iron Man, Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, and Loki Laufeyson held. That means we're still looking for Thor, The Hulk, Spider-Man (any canon), Sharon Carter, Falcon, Wasp, Ant-Man, Wolverine, and more!
I'd also like to see characters from A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones, Alphas, Battlestar Galactica, Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel, Charmed, Firefly, Fringe, Harry Potter, Heroes, Human Target, Once Upon a Time, Resident Evil, Star Trek (any franchise), Star Wars (bonus for extended universe), Stargate (any fanchise), Supernatural, the Bourne films, The Chronicles of Narnia, the DC Universe generally and Batman specifically, The Dresden Files, the Terminator series just to throw out some ideas. |
