It was early in the morning, Vala could tell by the bright light streaming in through the window and right into her eyes. "Eric, close the bloody curtains," she grumbled, turning over. She tried to go back to sleep but something wasn't quite right, something about that was off.

It took a moment but then... light! In Eric's house! She flailed and sat up but Eric wasn't next to her and it wasn't his house nor his room she woke up in. "What the--" she broke off, her eyes widening. That was not her voice. She looked down at her body and it was not her body. There were parts missing that she remembered having the night before and new parts she didn't remember ever having.

She stood up and moved to the mirror over the nightstand, Sam's face was staring right back at her. She reached out and touched the mirror and Sam did the same. She frowned and Sam's face frowned; she reached out and touched her cheek, poking it and Sam did the same.

"Oh fuck me," she breathed.

"Bad weird or good weird?" She asked, grabbing a roll and breaking into it.Grabbing a bit more food, she piled scrambled eggs and hash browns onto her plate before it got too cold.

"So, I was wondering, if I'm in Sam and you're in Alcide who is in us? And who are they in? And what sort of freaky ass invention did this? I mean, not that I'm not saying there aren't perks to playing around or anything but I did like my body and I certainly liked your body. Although... really, you're not half bad now." She gave him another wink.

"I don't know. Just weird." He took an almost experimental bite of cheese next, chewing it just as slowly as he had the bread. The scrambled eggs that Vala had on her plate smelled good, so Eric added a small spoonful of them to his plate, poking them with his fork before taking a small bite of them. He was pleasantly surprised that they tasted good.

Eric smirked at Vala's last comment before addressing her questions. "You're not half bad looking yourself," he teased back. "Your guess is as good as mine as to who's in our bodies or where they ended up. As to what's caused this, I have no idea, but I propose that we find out as soon as possible. I'd rather not be stuck in Alcide Herveaux's body any longer than is absolutely necessary." The full moon wasn't something that he normally kept track of so he wasn't sure when it was, but he really wasn't looking forward to turning into a fucking wolf and running around on all fours out in the woods.

"Right. I would suggest the castle as the first place to go and look but.... after breakfast." It didn't take both of them too long to eat and dispose of the dishes, the magical cabinet system in the Folly working better than ever in the tavern.

"So, breakfast is done, now for the business of the day," Vala started, stopping herself. Just in between the curtains to the tavern window she could see the sun shining brilliantly outside. An idea just occurred to her and she grabbed Eric's hand in her own large, manly hand and dragged him bodily outside. "Sunshine Eric," she breathed, letting her head fall back and her face take in the rays.

Eric had an irrational moment of almost-panic when Vala dragged him over to the door, similar to what he'd felt when he'd first woken up with the sun shining on his face. "I can't-" he started to protest, but she had him outside and in the sunlight before he had a chance to finish his sentence and he quickly realized that he wasn't going to burn.

The sunlight wasn't particularly warm, seeing as it was winter on the Folly, but it felt nice shining down on him. Eric too let his head fall back, closing his eyes and soaking up the UV rays.

	Vala looked back up and over at her lover who did not right now look like her lover. How long had been since he had been able to experience the sunshine? To feel the warm rays on his face and skin? "This is amazing," Eric breathed with a huge smile on his face, tipping his head back up to meet his lover's gaze in Sam Winchester's eyes. "I never thought I'd be able to experience being in the sun again."

He tipped his head back again briefly before giving Vala a questioning look. "Won't you miss it?" he asked. "Are you really ready to trade the sun for the moon and the stars?"

	Vala breathed deeply in the crisp morning air before looking over at Eric and gave him a slight shrug. "I'm sure I will miss the sun but I'm not trading it in for the moon." Eric smiled back at Vala and gave her large hand a squeeze, pulling her close to him so that he could lean in to kiss her gently. Sam's lips felt different from Vala's, but Eric found that he really didn't mind.

"What would you like to do today now that you have me out and about in the sun?" Eric asked when he'd pulled away just enough to be able to meet Vala's gaze again.

"Darling, there are many things I could think to do to and with you during the day. For the moment, enjoying this right here is top on my list." She tugged on Eric's hand and pulled him past the tavern into a field that opened up from behind. There was tall grass all around them and it was fairly warm as she pulled Eric down with her onto the ground.

"Mm, just enjoying the day for the moment, its nice." She moved to sit with Eric at her back as she was used to but the height changes made it more difficult. She no longer was easily able to tuck up against Eric's bigger body as Sam and Alcide were of similar heights.

Eric allowed Vala to lead him where she wanted him to go, following her out into the field and sitting with her in the grass. "It is nice," he agreed.

He could tell that she was frustrated by the fact that he body didn't fit perfectly against his as it did when they were in their own bodies. He leaned back a little bit and braced one hand behind him to support him, the slight shift in position allowing Vala to relax back against him with her head on his shoulder. He wrapped his other arm around her broad chest, holding her close to him. "Better?" he asked softly.

	"It'll do," she sighed, resting Sam's head back on Alcide's shoulder. "I like your body better. I fit against that one." The wind shifted and blew through the grasses, ruffling Sam's curly hair. "I like my body better, too," Eric murmured in agreement. "And yours. Together," he clarified.

"I think there's a good possibility that whatever did this is in the castle, and I hope to hell that it can change us back. I refuse to be stuck in Alcide fucking Herveaux's body for the rest of eternity." The moment the words were out of his mouth, he realized that if he were truly stuck in Alcide's body, there would be no eternity. Werewolves didn't live forever.

"We should go check it out today," he murmured. "The sooner we can switch back the better as far as I'm concerned."

"No, no flying today unfortunately." He gave his lover a sad smile and tucked a lock of Sam's hair behind his ear in an affectionate gesture.

He chuckled at he last statement. "Yes, definitely want you to have those back. Your long hair, too. I've always like playing with it."

He scooted none too gracefully out from behind Vala and rose to his feet, reaching down to offer her a hand up.

	She took his hand and let him pull her up to Sam's considerable height. "Right then, to the castle," she beamed at Eric with Sam's wide, puppy-like smile. When they arrived at the castle, Eric pushed open the large double doors and stepped inside. The entry hall was poorly lit, and Eric found himself squinting into the darkness with Alcide's eyes. "I don't know how you mere mortals can stand not being able to see in the dark," he muttered to Vala in annoyance, reaching out to take her hand in his. Sam's hand was very large compared to Vala's, but Eric didn't mind at all. "Any ideas on where to start?" he asked.

"Yes well, we do try to get by..." Vala rolled her eyes dramatically and let Eric lead her into the castle. "I have no idea where to start. We should probably try to find some of the professor's labs or at least a library or something to give us a place to start."

Walking ahead, Vala moved into the castle and down the stone floor, her steps loud and echoing in the great empty chamber. Up ahead there were two large staircases that led to different wings of the castle. "To the left?" She asked, turning back to Eric for his opinion.

"I suppose left is as good a place to start as any," he remarked agreeably, heading up the stairs with her.

They found themselves at one end of a long, straight corridor with several doors leading off of it. At the end of the hall was a spiral stairway going up to the next level. "Pick a door, any door," he said, waving his hand toward the corridor that stretched out ahead of them.

	"Oh not this again," Vala muttered. She was having flashbacks to when she and Lucy had wandered down the entire hall looking for something. "Right," she nodded, going to the first door and pushing it open. She found a room full of feathers: bags of feathers, feathers on the ground and feathers in the air. Eric nodded. "It's doubtful that we'd find anything useful in there."

Deciding that it would be better if they went in order so that they knew what they'd already seen and what they hadn't, Eric pushed open the next door and stuck his head inside. The air was full of bubbles of myriad shapes, sizes and colors. "Interesting, but not useful," he commented. "Let's try the next one."

"God this professor was a nutcase," Vala muttered as she pushed open a door to a room full of goats. "I mean really!" She gestured at the door to Eric, not quite able to put into words how what the fuck a room full of goats was.

She stomped down to the next door and flung it open to reveal pictures of naked men tacked up all around the room. "Oh, hello." Her eyes widened as she saw what was laid out on the tables. "This room could possibly have some ah, use."

Vala's eyes were zeroed in on a life size pin up right across from the door. She walked in and went straight to it, her eyes moving up and down the man's body. "Nice," she murmured, smirking slowly. "Like the look of him."

She turned around slowly, trying to take everything in. "I'm almost afraid to ask if everything is sanitised." She shook her head but reached forward, grabbing something anyways. "I wonder what this--" She began to ask, picking up a small brass tube. Her finger slid over a button and the device began to vibrate and make noise. Vala's eyes widened and she dropped the thing in surprise.

Eric walked around the room admiring the pictures. "The gallery is incomplete," he commented. "They haven't got a picture of me." He winked at Vala to show that he was teasing.

He chuckled when the device in Vala's hands began to vibrate and then fell to the floor. "It seems, my dearest Vala, that you've just acquired a vibrator," he remarked, bending down to retrieve the fallen device for her and giving her a nice view of Alcide's ass in the process. He slid his finger over the same button that Vala had pressed to shut it off and then handed it back to her.

She raised her eyebrows at Eric. "Considering the workout I get most nights, you think I have time to play with one of these?" She shook her head but held onto the device, never knew when it could be useful.

"Well, what do you like in here?" She asked, gesturing to all the various pictures of naked men and women and devices. "i'm curious to know. What would you pick out to have fun with?"
