Who: Oliver, Harper, Ivy, Edwin, & anyone else who might want to be outside with the losers group
When: around 9pm
Where: Between the lodge and the barn
There were enough unoccupied rooms that Edwin had been able to pull some mattresses out of the house once the rain had passed and cram them into the row of tents that Oliver and the others had set up earlier, close enough to the house that someone would probably hear them yell if they needed anything. Not that it was really a problem when Edwin could go into the house, but it was nice to get the people who couldn't some sort of comfort.
Not that their set-up was bad. They'd planted their first lantern so it overlapped with the protected path just slightly, figuring that in the future, if they did want to sit outside at night, at least they had a space they could do it and a clear shot inside when they were done. Edwin could see people wanting to spend more time outside now that they'd all built a fire pit, and could enjoy night time campfires, like they were doing now despite the whole area having been soaked only hours before. At least they knew the fire wasn't likely to spread accidentally.
Edwin sat, of course, wrapped up around Oliver, enjoying both the warmth from the fire and from the man. He found himself wondering if he shouldn't offer for Harper and Ivy to come join in the snuggling, just for a little more extra comfort while they were stuck outside. Harper hadn't been here too long, after all, and probably didn't know what to expect. And Ivy... Ivy did know what to expect. Better than he did.
They were safe, though. Monster-proof lights and monster-proof tents. They'd all be fine.
Edwin shivered all the same, then stuck a hand out towards the fire like the chill had come from the cold and not the discomfort of knowing that They'd probably try something tonight. He opened his mouth to suggest some ghost stories, just because they were near a campfire, then wondered if he shouldn't just talk about his D&D plans, though he was sure that he'd been doing enough of that today. "When was the last time you guys have been camping?" he settled on instead. "Does it still count as camping when you're just hanging out between two houses?"
