Who: Edwin & Vanessa When: around 9 am Where: third floor halls
This was the first day after a little series of days with them waking up elsewhere after Vanessa had put up her apology message onto the network, to which only the cranky whimp had replied, in a way Vanessa had anticipated and hoped for. She didn't know if Lucy had actually scolded him for that, but GOD did she hope that exactly this was the outcome of her little charade, because this fucking foreign asshole had it coming so hard. She hated this pussy guts, and she hated the fact that he and Lucy had been friends before she had shown up, and thus, making it harder for her to actually form Lucy to her own wishes. She couldn't need someone intefering with that, being maybe even a closer friend to her than she was, potentially telling her that she was a bad influence or whatever. Not that Lucy would care, she obviously was one of those idiots you could do the worst things to and then make up for it with a little insincere apology, which was just perfect.
But Marco was a pain. Not only was he a nuisance between her and Lucy, he also had stolen her spotlight the day before. It was a weird process in Vanessa's brain that made her actually mad at him rather than Them for putting him into a similar position than her, as they had done with the cunt who had shown her some basic cooking at the summer hotel, but lashing out at people who had actually done nothing to even slightly deserve it was a specialty of her anyway, as she always needed someone physically reachable to put any kind of blame on.
At least usually. Vanessa was still set on making fake amends with the idiots around here, presenting herself as a somewhat decent human being or whatever, because every other strategy had failed miserably, forcing her to go into the probably longest acting mode she had ever experienced in life, which was exciting on the one hand, but kind of depressing on the other, because it robbed her off the most joyous things of being a bitch. But without the proper people around, those joyous things didn't work anyway, so the second best solution was still a good one. And it was not like she had to give up on the dramatic overacting totally, given that the people running this torture hotel surely liked to do stupid things to them, and especially her, so she wouldn't run out of possibilities that could make a kind of overexaggerated reaction seem legit without her seeming like the bitch she was.
But first things first. After days of leetching off on Lucy's support, asking her to bring her food to her room which she never left because she was scared, or mentally disturbed, or whatever mood would make Lucy feel sympathetic towards her, it was time to finally go and meet other people and try to convince them to give her a second chance, so she would even have a basis for potential schemes. To play people against each other and cause sneaky or obvious drama between them, she somehow needed to fit in first, at least with this kind of group. At first, Vanessa had considered, especially after yesterday's events, to play her misery card with Lucy a little longer, fake a mental breakdown and let Lucy cater to her even more, but the whole thing required her to stay in her room all day again, and as pretty and decadent her room was, it was utterly boring to be forced to basically live inside it. Thus, she decided to rather make Lucy proud or whatever by being tough and brave enough to face the people after her apology, and after having been stuck inside a filthy popcorn machine for ALMOST A WHOLE DAY (which was not even remotely close to the truth), she could as well pretend that she needed out of the confined space her room was as soon as possible.
She dressed herself daring as usual, putting on her heels and leaving the room early to just wander around the house until she would meet someone she could talk to. Either this person would be nice to her if she was nice to them, contributing to her plan of making as many people as possible believe that she was truly sorry, and not as mean as she initially presented herself at, or they would reject her, which would make another great victim story for Lucy. There wasn't much that could go wrong, right?
In the end, Vanessa didn't need to go very far. In fact, she only made a few steps after closing her door before spotting a person on the other side of the hall, and upon further inspection, it was this whiny goth gay who had clinged to this other gay during the sport thing they had to do. For a short moment, Vanessa hesitated to approach him, because what if he carried any diseases gays got through sex, or was a filthy druggie because the quiz had taught her that such people existed inside this place, and goths were usually drug addicted and would inject shit into their body. Or go to graveyards and handle dead chicken or something like that. Only a really tiny part of Vanessa's brain was actually aware of the fact that all of these things were utter bullshit, whereas the other, much bigger, half tried to convince herself that these things were, in fact, true. She also only needed this part of her brain to convince herself really fastly that being exposed to any of that could only be beneficial anyway, and the fact that he was one of those people she needed to fake a more personal apology to made this encounter actually more than convenient. Way better than running into Levi or Felix.
She needed another two seconds to decide how to go about this before she started approaching him, slowly, sporting a little insecure smile, letting her gaze roam around a little restlessly as if she was ashamed to make actual eye-contact. "Hi! Um, what is your name? I, I want to talk to you about, um... how I, you know..." She lowered her gaze for a moment, but looked back up quickly, sporting a friendly smile this time.
