Gym, evening, Urquhart OTA/MW
Urquhart did his serious training by himself, of course. He didn't want people to do see what he could really do.

But for a regular light work-out, just to make sure he moved every muscle in his body every day, the semi-public gym in the first basement was good enough.

So he was there, humming to himself while he was on the stair-climbing machine, going up an imaginary skyscraper.

"That'd probably be the best idea," Granger agreed, his fingers lifting to scratch at his perpetual five o'clock shadow. "If I try to grow anything longer than this, it starts looking a bit - spotty. Wouldn't do Mr. Elliott any justice at all if I tried to play him looking like I had the mange."

"In addition, trying to bleach facial hair is the pits," Urquhart said, matter-of-factly.

That lead Granger to laugh again, putting his hand on his stomach as he slowed the treadmill down again. Wouldn't do to keep running that fast if he was going to be laughing like this. "Had some experience with that?"

"May have," Urquhart said, grinning as he went on working his step treadmill.

By now, if he'd actually been in a staircase, he'd have reached the top of Pangolin Tower.

Actually, he'd tried to dye a bit of beard, rather than bleach it, for a job.

"Shhhhhew," Granger said, shaking his head a little. He did well to keep his hair cut and combed and his stubble as maintained as it was. He knew beyond a fathom of a doubt that an attempt at bleaching his facial hair would go horribly awry.

Not that a respectable gentleman with a blonde mustache and a black beard wasn't horrible.

"In my first job ever back home, there was this fella that drew his beard on with black shoe polish. Least of his problems, really. He also stuffed his pants and shirt like he was a scarecrow at halloween."

"Was he hired to scare away the unwary?" Urquhart asked.

Granger chuckled. "Don't think he got paid for it, but he did a damn fine job of it anyway. Some guys just have a talent for that, I suppose."

"What kind of job was that?" Urquhart says. "In most industries, you try to attract customers. Or am I mistaken?"

"A shitty one," Granger said with a nod. "Gas station. He was the owner's uncle or something. I assume that's the only reason he got to stay on. He was crazier than a shithouse rat."

"Everybody needs gas," Urquhart nods. "And you don't mind if you're buying it from a crazy. Especially when you're just passing through."

Granger pointed at him with one finger before placing it back on the rails of the treadmill. "You, sir, make excellent points."

"I do my best," Urquhart chuckled.
