I'd like to turn to a type of song that people like myself find ourselves subjected to with increasing frequency as time goes on, and that is the college alma mater. You'll find yourself at a reunion of grads, and old undergrads, and eh... somebody will start croaking out one of these things and everyone will gradually join in -- each in his own key, of course -- until the place is just soggy with nostalgia. Well, a typical such song might be called Bright College Days, and might go like this. Bright college days, O carefree days that fly, To thee we sing with our glasses raised on high. I mean, it's kind of a given, I suppose, that we'd be something like our former selves, but what if it's detrimental? there's also the chance that you could be nothing like that person at all, provided your lives were different enough. I had a woman sit down next to me when I was getting coffee the other day. She started talking to me (without me saying much in return) about Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes and their divorce. At first, I wasn't sure that she was actually talking to me, because she kind of just seemed to be speaking in general. Then she started to ask me questions. I got up with a polite nod and started to walk away and she followed me. Apparently no one will have this conversation with her. I had to actually apply subterfuge to get away.

Why are people crazy?

Damn you, Comic-Con. With all your very shiny swag. I totally didn't plan on buying this much shit.

Also: Wall of armor. Whole wall filled with armor. (Do you think I could fit one of those in my apartment? Maybe the kitchen? I could gut all those useless appliances and install a room of them. It's not like I use the kitchen anyway.) And then Robert Downey Jr. played with a bunch of small children wearing Iron Man costumes. It was adorable. I think that I actually experienced what other women feel when they have that weird, biological desire for babies. Just for a second there.

Or maybe it was just weird, biological desire for Robert Downey Jr. Still too hard to tell. Have no basis for comparison on the first option. Will mull this over.

And there's going to be a Deadpool game. Be still, my nerdy heart.

They premiered that season 3 trailer for The Walking Dead, and I creamed myself can't fucking wait.
