I'd like to turn to a type of song that people like myself find ourselves subjected to with increasing frequency as time goes on, and that is the college alma mater. You'll find yourself at a reunion of grads, and old undergrads, and eh... somebody will start croaking out one of these things and everyone will gradually join in -- each in his own key, of course -- until the place is just soggy with nostalgia. Well, a typical such song might be called Bright College Days, and might go like this. Bright college days, O carefree days that fly, To thee we sing with our glasses raised on high. Let's drink a toast as each of us recalls Ivy-covered professors in ivy-covered halls. Turn on the spigot, pour the beer and swig it, and gaudeamus igit-ur. Here's to parties we tossed, To the games that we lost, We shall claim that we won them some day. To the girls young and sweet, To the spacious back seat of our beat up Chevrolet.

I have been craving the fuck out of some strawberry popsicles. I don't know why I'm so focused on that particular flavor, or why I even want popsicles in the first place, but good gods, I would strangle someone to get my hands on one of these babies. There's a cocoanut variety I'm in love with, too. I might have to cave in and buy a few. Or make some. Hmm. Anyone feel like having some ice cream with me? ♥

A couple years back I had come across a summer course for theatre students where they would study various types of specific theatre and would than visit the appropriate countries per each style (ie: a trip to Japan to see proper Kabuki). I'm not a theatre major so I didn't bother with it, but I've seriously come to regret this. What a lost opportunity. I could have learned so much. So much of a society's culture and, wah, their religion influence their entertainment. Not to mention the opportunity to see a culture from a new angle.

I wonder if this school or schools nearby would offer such a program? Any theatre students out there with insight?

No, I'm not, actually.

But I'm curious--any of you into fishing? Would be nice to hit the lake this weekend and see what we can manage to catch. Have to say it, however: I'm more a catch and release kind of guy.

Regardless, if you're interested, we ought to head out bright and early Saturday and/or Sunday morning. The early bird gets the worm, after all.

Friday's calling for a slight chance of rain, but don't expect to see a single drop. It's going to be absolutely beautiful. I want to spend all day dancing outside a la Kate Bush in Wuthering Heights.

I was wondering if I shouldn't have an outdoor picnic? Would others be willing to join me? If enough people come, we can even each bring a different dish and share some of our favorite foods! I just can't see how someone could resist passing up their Friday inside! Even if it's only me, I'm going to be out in the fields all day. You can't miss in the glory of Spring!

Eh, I can't think of anything right now. I'm too busy luxuriating all over myself. It gets pretty messy, trust me. I luxuriate a lot. Even more than our dear beautiful Lysander. I've seen the guy luxuriate and they're still trying to get the last of it out of the carpet. I may have even lent him a luxurious hand.

Nothing like a three mile run to start the day! ♥ 00:24:37:19 this morning. A ways off from 18 minutes, but God willing, I'll get there eventually.

Anyone have advice for improving run time? It'd be very appreciated.
