Gen was on Cloud Nine. Maybe it was the alcohol. Maybe it was because this game of Chicken she was playing had gotten to a point that was both hilarious and nerve wracking. Mostly it was the alcohol. They had taken their little game a step further, however. Genevieve had suggested getting married on their second date, assuming that he would back out at any point. Yet here they were, into the darker hours of the evening, with a marriage license in hand.
White wasn't really her color--it washed out her already pasty complexion--but she had worn it anyway as part of the joke. It was a white t-shirt, and the only garment of that color she owned. The rest of her outfit was much more her speed: black skirt, black fishnet tights, and black shoes which even had a moderate heel on them. Her hair was down and had a slight bit of curl to it.
She'd lost count of the number of drinks already ingested. They had been there a while. After the County Clerk's office, it had been laughing all the way to the restaurant for a little bit of food and a lot more liquor. She still believed it would all end up as a joke, but just in case, Gen was willing to go as far as he was. As she finished off a tequila shot, she turned to her date turned fiance with a smirk.
"Hey," she said, her voice slurring only minimally. "What do you say we get out of here and go do this thing?" The dare in her voice was clear. "We're right next door to a chapel, and it's right across the street from a full nude strip club. That's the kind of class you could only dream of."
