Summer vacations here are so much longer than they are in Japan. And the school year starting in September not April is just so strange to me. And high schools being four years here, not three. But least the school here is virtual, so I can pick up where I left off when it resumes.

What do people do for summer vacations here? We had a couple of weeks back home, then a training camp for school, so there wasn't much time.

Maybe I'll get a summer job. It'd be nice to have some of my own money. I feel bad relying on all of the adults here.

A lot of our students didn't have family to go back to over summer, so we often had classes year-round. It helped to make up for the amount of school that got missed during the year for general chaos.
