After dinner and wine, Kate and Scott left the restaurant to go for a walk in the nearby park. While Kate was expecting (and somewhat fearing) a huge, dark park, it was well lit with streetlamps, and there were a lot of people about: jogging, playing on the play equipment, walking dogs… It was cool but not cold. Kate felt warm and safe.

She watched the sidewalk in front of them as they stepped up onto the curb and headed into the park. “It finally feels like summer.”

"More fun. Right. That might be more fun for both of us, anyway." She turned to walk with him toward the playset, now empty of happy children and families. There were two swings side-by-side where they could sit and eat their ice cream.

"I know it has to," Kate spoke softly between bites of ice cream, an embarrassed tinge of pink on her cheeks as she slipped onto the swing. "But I kinda don't want tonight to end."

	The ice cream went really fast. Kate popped the last of it into her mouth, then pulled out her phone from her purse and tapped the screen rapidly. Soon she had a calendar event, set to repeat every week, and invited him to it. "Done. Although maybe we should schedule some of these so that Cassie can tag along?" 	Kate blushed deeply. "Really? ... I'm not really the role model type." She shrugged her shoulders. "Now who's putting on the pressure?" She added, teasing, making a joke to ease that tension.
