Plot stuff for May
April has been quiet, and no wonder with all the stuff people have had going on, and I think will continue fairly quiet over the next couple of weeks.
For this reason there's not much point in actually posting anything for the annual Spring Ball - I can't see more than 3 people being able to post in it and 3 players do not a MM event make. There'll be a proper party at the end of the month so the pups can wait until then.
Sometime before 15th May, Erik Desler and Andy Andrassi are getting married in the UK. Any pup who has ever interacted with either of them will have had an invitation and transport is laid on for those who wish to attend, assuming the volcano doesn't erupt again. We'll probably handwave it so it's a good, and fairly effortless, way of accounting for pups who aren't being played much.
However, it is useful for getting Bea to Europe in time for May 15th and, yay, Paula's release from the valley of the shadow of Finals! and PLOT.
I expect that the comm will pick right up then.
Last time I asked for plot suggestions we had some doozies.
First of all and with a fixed date is the Memorial Weekend BBQ, organised by Adam and Icene, as usual. That will be happening on Saturday 29th May.
Next, thanks to Megan and Jen, from midnight on Memorial Day itself [31st] and lasting until the following Saturday midnight [5th June], the Manor is going to undergo one of its periodic shifts into AUverse where pups lives will reflect what they would have been like had they made different decisions. People who have done this before already know this but if you haven't please bear in mind, especially with pups in relationships, that muns might have different ideas about the decisions they want their pups to have made. Talk it over.
At the end of the week, things go back to normal BUT do we want our pups to remember their alternate lives or not? This can be optional if you like but could cause problems, again, where one pup remembers but another doesn't.
Incidentally Vision has been handed back to the MASTER - Megan is playing him from now on for all useful purposes. It will be nice to see a truly devilish devil again and I hope he'll be used more. He's just too good to waste.
Maru and Sam made suggestions for plot that I think might mix well. Maru's - that Beltane was coming up so why not let the Celtic Gods run riot - was fun, but today is Beltane and everyone's busy. Sam's was about the maze going loopy and causing problems for both living and dead. So why not mix 'em up and have Arawn have a spat with Vision and cause the maze thing so we have Midsummer Maze Madness etc? To give a time scale how about it starting on the wussy New Age Lithe - June 21st - and ending on the true Midsummer's day - June 24th? If that doesn't suit we could do it at Lugnasad in August but that doesn't alliterate!
Anything else happening? Especially anything that might involve pups, who aren't boinking, talking and plotting together?
