Howdy! Ceil here (OMG I actually exist and am not a figment of your imagination! Tada!) how is everyone doing?
I have plotty things to discuss in regards to STS4! For anyone who doesn't know, STS or Save The Square, started back in the GJ Days as a weekend benefit concert/festival to help smite the evil Pangolin (did I spell that right?) forces! After that it drama was quashed, it simply morphed into awesomeness in the form of a three day concert/festival in Vine Square with proceeds going to various charities. Vendors from the surrounding Vine Square businesses set up shop, sell goods, show off wares and have a good time listening to music in the baseball diamond. There's also a classical musicl (aka more grown up portion) of the weekend held in the actual square as well.
Ramble aside, Kris and I are working on plugging in bands into time slots for the baseball diamond part of it and we're also adding extra shows to be held in Upstairs during the weekend as well this year! So! Things I need to know since there are Manor bands/performers floating about:
a) Band/Performer name b) Preference for performance day/night: Friday, Saturday or Sunday
and also go kill two birds with one stone in an effort to get a jump start on doing this earlier than needed (cause why not!) - If you business or a business your pup frequents or works for would like to be a vendor comment below with the business name and what they will be supplying/donating to the event as well as what they would like to sell or showcase - If you'd like your pup to volunteer for setup/breakdown/food & drink sale/ticket-wristband sales/security/etc comment below with their name and desired area of work (We'll probably put up a volunteer sign up sheet closer to the date....which has yet to be set!)
Also, one last thing before I cut my ramble off (Forgive me I'm going stir crazy at work!). We were discussing possibly having some form of minor (meaning no one getting killed or too seriously maimed) drama of some kind at this year's STS just to liven it up a little more. Since everything is still in the process of being worked out, I'd like to open it up to possible suggestions anyone might have or randomly think of that we could incorporate. I know its only July but I figure bringing it all up now might help build up some ideas over the next few weeks to include as many pups and plot ideas as possible going into the event.
