He must have a thing for assertive blondes because he gets quite animated - for him. Then, naturally, Niles makes himself known to her and fails to make the usual impression. In fact there's a distinct chilliness as Laura snarks and he withdraws, after all there are plenty more fish in the sea, until she finds common ground with him so they can both be sarcastic about people who are nice. Hmmm, she's pretty enough but handsome is as handsome does.

Tuesday 16th

She chats for ages to Tristan and they cover innuendo to do with sparkling [must be Edward Sparkly-butt Cullen fans] then talk about her painting of him and wondering who could have bought it. Then they talk about friendship and surprisingly Tristan says he wants some male friends. [But honey he's straight, why would he want to waste thread time on blokes?] Also they have been having sex-dreams about each other! Also, though it hurts to break up her collection, she agrees to help him look for a girlfriend. Niles gets Elspeth first and they chat comfortably together about his music and play with Lola and talk about love. I was delighted to see Elspeth make the grass squeak! *loves her more than ever* also thanks for the amazing video. They agree to have an evening of classic zombie movies and cajun food. Then Niles is joined by 'the hair' and they talk music and about Upstairs and the shocking lack of groupies and the sexual revolution and that looking good and having interesting jobs helps enormously when on the pull.
