You copy/paste the thread into notepad to get rid of the icons and buttons then use find/replace to get rid of all the unnecessary text. Like so:

Adam's head snapped up and he spun around in his swiveling desk chair. "Hey! Look who it is! You're home early, aren't you?"

You have to tweak it a bit to make it readable because people often rely on the icons to give the speaker identity, but it can be done fairly easily. If you're really enthusiastic you can edit it and add bits.
