Who: Lucas Scott and Ianto Jones
When: Day 30
What: Lucas and Ianto meet in the Library.
Rating: Probably PG just to be safe.
Status: Incomplete.

Lucas and wandering around his strange new place he had found himself in. He still found it hard to believe. He had been at home and how he is now on a strange new planet. It was very hard to believe and yet here he was. He didn't understand how he had gotten here.

He found the library and walked inside. He rambled around looked at all the books the library held. He found a copy of Julius Ceaser and picked it up. He flicked through it, remembering the time his mom and Haley had given him a copy of the same book.

He held it in his hand and looked through the shelves at some of the many other books.

"Really? Well on behalf of the Planet, welcome to Mirage," Ianto said, holding his hand out to shake the other's. "I'm Ianto Jones, from Cardiff, Wales, Earth in the year 2009 since the people here tend to not always be from the same time. What sort of things do you like to read?"

"Thank you," he said. He shook Ianto's hand.

"I'm Lucas Scott from Tree Hill, North Carolina, Earth in the year 2008. The classics mostly. I'm a big Shakespeare fan. I will read most things though.

"I could show you where the Shakespeare section is. It's just around the corner. I could also make you a book list of other things I've found here that I've liked along the lines of classic works," he offered.

Ianto walked around the corner and showed Lucas where the Shakespeare books where. "Not sure if you're read them all but the planet has his complete works. I'm starting to wonder if it somehow knows what we want to read and like to read and makes the books just appear. The first time I went to the library, these all weren't here."

"Gives you anything you want? Yeah, that's how things seem to work in this place," Ianto commented.

Ianto smiled slightly. "I'm used to weird but this planet is a lot... bigger than what I'm used to."

"You're used to weird?" he asked curiously. "I have to say that I'm not."

"I used to deal with weird things on a daily basis so often that I don't quite consider them that strange anymore," Ianto admitted with a little laugh. "What did you do before you were brought here?" he asked, being friendly.

"I was in College, working as a basketball coach and in the middle of editing a book I was having published," he said. "Can I ask you the same thing?" he asked.

"You wrote a book?" Ianto asked with interest. "What was it about? As for myself, I worked as an archivist for a company." It wasn't a lie, per say, it just wasn't the whole truth. Ianto wasn't about to go and tell a complete stranger what he did for a living.

"That sounds like an interesting job," he said with a smile.

"Yeah I did. It's about my life basically, and the people that influenced it. I know it probably doesn't sound like the most interesting of books."

"Everyone has an interesting story in their own way. If it's being published, it must have enough to catch someone's eye."

"You want to go get a coffee?" he asked.

Ianto slowly smiled, getting an idea. Gwen had said that she had wished for his coffee and it had appeared. Ianto wanted to see if it worked himself and, well, if it was his coffee, it had been awhile since anyone else had given him an opinion on it. "Alright," he agreed with a nod.

He walked out of the library and headed in the direction of the cafe.

"So you're from Cardiff? I like the accent," he said.

"Thank you," Ianto replied, unsure of how else to respond. No one had really commented on his accent before. "It's not as thick as it used to be," he admitted. "I worked with a few people from London and one from America, sort of, so it's blended more with those." Smiling a little bit, Ianto spoke in the thickest Welsh accent he could do. "But I haven't lost it. Yet."

He laughed a little when Ianto spoke in his thickest Welsh accent.

"Yeah, I can hear that," he said. "It's different to any accent I've ever heard."

"I've meet a few Americans in my lifetime," Ianto admitted. "Can't say I've heard of a Tree Hill, North Carolina, though. Is it a big city or fairly small?"

"It's a very small town. The kind of place where everyone knows everyone else's business. I love it though. I mean it's home and I have a lot of friends there."

Ianto nodded in understanding. "I was born and raised in Cardiff, then moved to London later on. Always lived in a big city."

It didn't take long to get to the coffee bar. "I'd like a cup of my coffee, if you please," Ianto said to empty air. A cup of coffee appeared in front of him and Ianto lifted it to his mouth, taking a long and slow sip. He scowled at the cup slightly. It was indeed his coffee. Tasted more or less the same as well. Oh well. At least he could get some in a pinch if he didn't feel like making it himself and he still had the coffee machine in his bedroom.

"Is your coffee better?" he asked curiously when Ianto specifically asked for his own coffee.
