Who: Michiru, Blair, Vaako, Marcus (Posting order to be determined by who responds when)
When: Day 24 Afternoon
What: Going snowmobiling!
Rating: PG-13 to be safe
Status: Complete

Though she wasn't adverse to the cold, Michiru would much have preferred to enjoy the wintery wonderland from inside, preferably in front of a roaring fire, curled up with hot tea and Haruka. The planet it seemed had different ideas.

She'd found the note taped to her door that morning. Initially she'd thought it was a note from Legolas or maybe one of the girls from the music gathering. Her face fell as she read:
Go to the garage. You will be snow mobiling. This is mandatory.
If you do not go a golem will find you and take you there. Do
not leave until the activities are finished, or a golem will
take you back.

"Even the planet itself is rude" she muttered, scanning the note a few times. Haruka had gotten a similar one yesterday, and her story of the reluctant young man being hauled to the pond by the golems let Michiru know there wasn't any point in refusing. This planet could be quite a bully sometimes.

"More your thing than mine" she said, handing the note over to her partner. "Guess another day of relaxing plans ruined." Still she wasn't the type to complain overmuch, especially when it wouldn't do any good.

She spent the morning mostly relaxing; reading a bit and such. She had a large lunch, since who knew when or if the planet would remember that they needed to eat? Then she bundled herself up, and headed out to the garage. The golems were very helpful in pointing out directions and she was gratified to discover she was the first to arrive. There was nothing worse than being late.

Marcus woke with the sun, something he was getting used to here, and proceeded about his morning activities as usual. He was in the middle of his Minbari fighting poses with the pike, when he heard a sound outside his door. Grabbing a cloak to cover his bare torso against the cold, he opened the door. Finding no one but the note, he grabbed it and went back inside to read it.

He remembered hearing about these arranged activities before. He had met people who had received such notes, and for the most part they had had a pleasant time. So, he was to go snowmobiling, eh? Well, he had had plans to look for Tonks this day, but he didn't really have a choice about this one. Perhaps the witch would also be summoned to the activity. Either way, learning to get around on the vehicles might prove useful in this landscape.

Leaving his Ranger uniform, for once, Marcus looked in his closet for a suitable winter outfit. The garment he discovered looked a little like a pilot's jumpsuit, except that it was bright blue and featured more zippers. Donning it, he felt odd, but people here changed their clothes all the time and it didn't change who they were. More importantly, it did not make them less effective. Grabbing gloves and appropriate headgear, he left his rooms.

The golems gave excellent directions, and it did not take the capable man long to find the snowmobile shed. He entered the room adjacent the garage, where two others had already gathered. There was a televideo screen there as well, which Marcus assumed would give them the directions. It was difficult to imagine one of the golems effectively controlling a powerful vehicle like a snowmobile.

Marcus waved cheerfully at the other two prospective snowmobilers. "Hello. Marcus Cole. Am I on time?" He didn't believe he had met either of the two before, though he had spied the woman's hair several times in the dining hall. He found himself somewhat disappointed that Tonks was not present.
