The man who had once been the First Commander of the most powerful and devastating army in the history of his universe, Lord Cylus Vaako, was barely holding onto consciousness. He could barely hold his own body up, even propped up as he was against the wall. He had a very dim view of his surroundings, but found that he was barely able to keep his eyelids open. His head hurt. That was odd enough in and of itself, given what he was. Necromongers barely feel pain.

He'd never felt anything like this, actually. Or not in so many years that he could barely remember what pain felt like. But then, in all the years that he'd been a Necromonger, he'd never allowed himself to go this long without the Purification. It was wearing off, that must be why he was feeling this. Damn it. It really wasn't all that convienant. Why now? He could have done without the splitting headache.

Of course, blood loss could have been a major part of it, too. The vampire Lestat had most definately not been keeping his hands to himself, nor his teeth. That was a good part of the weakness that the Necromonger felt, he was certain. Each and every time Lestat came to him, Vaako was convinced that somehow, this time, he was going to fend him off. And, predictibly, each and every time he failed, the vampire took what he wanted, and left him weaker than before.

Even worse, really, than the horribly intimacy of the vampire's touch, was the fact that he couldn't stop him from doing that, or taking any number of liberties with his body. There was a girl here, too, somewhere. He hadn't been able to talk to her. He didn't know what condition she was in. He couldn't, in fact, concentrate on very much at all. Really, it was all he could do to hold on to the semi-consciousness state he was in.

Even through the blinding pain, Lestat could hear their nonsensical words of bravado, ”Let’s get him, love”. The vampire snarled and turned his head back as he ascended, “Fucking idiots! When I return, your pain will be my pleasure”. His eyes shifted to the star, who was calling him a coward, “We will see how many things I can do to you while following the planet’s rule of keeping you alive, bitch!”.

Suddenly, something that didn’t happen often occurred…a look of concern passed over Lestat’s face. Some form of energy was glowing and pulsating within the chests of both Riddick and Vaako: Lestat tried to level a devastating blast of fire at them, but couldn’t summon the concentration to do so…and therefore, he panicked…he turned and tried to move quicker through the air…away from those lesser beings who would dare to do him harm.

When the beam of energy shot from the Furyan and the Necromonger and joined, it thundered with such power that Lestat could actually hear it coming for him. Unable to not look, the vampire began to turn his head…before he could accomplish even that, he was lost…

The deadly beam hit him with all the power of a great tsunami, tossing Lestat around in the sky like a rag doll; the vampire had the clothes torn from his body, along with most of his surface layer of skin, his legs were broken, his ribs were shattered on his left side and he was blinded…all of this the savage energy did to him before it turned him loose and let him fall to the ground.

When he hit the ground with a sickening, moist thud, the Vampire Lestat was barely conscious…he was blind and his body was broken, his blood was still tainted by the star…if he was captured, the ones who did this would surely finish him off. Pulling on his last reserves of energy, Lestat concentrated…he ignored the pain…he thought of one thing only…he was one thing only…the ground…sink…sink…deep…deep…deep. And then it began to work…his body became insubstantial and he sank into the ground, merged with it, became one with it…deeper and deeper he sank…hundreds and hundreds of feet…far below and merged with solid rock in nonsolid form…lying in a sort of healing coma. He would have to remain here for some time to repair such extensive damage. But he would dream and he would plan and he would think of the ones who were responsible for damning him to this living grave.

There was no guarantee that this would work but then something happened. Riddick looked over and the same angry energy was coming from Cylus just as it was from him. What was first red was now blue and the intensity of his own rage was now more intense and a lot stronger. Then their rage was combining and he could no longer try to figure out just why this as happening.

Lestat was getting away but not at all unharmed. Riddick was not stupid enough to think that they had killed him, but certainly they had wounded him badly. The rage strong suddenly began to die down once it's target was gone and just as before, he sank to his knees, gasping for air, shaking hard adn trying to remember who and where he was. The only thing different is this time he was clutched to Vaako and when he sank to his knees he brought the other man with him. He couldn't talk, couldn't think really.

He gasped for air and finally regained some control as he looked at the other man beside of him, concerned as he looked completely beat and hurt and like death."He hurt you." He stated blandly, his anger worse than before. He reached out, his fingers dancing over the still glowing spot on Vaako's chest. He laid his hand against it, and no shock the print was just as his hand. "My equal." He stated just like the words in the book they had read awhile ago.

Finally he stood on shaky legs and looked at Vaako. "Stay here, gather some strength I'm gonna check on the girl then I am taking you out of here. But don't you dare move."
