Who: Haruka & Michiru
Where: Wine making area
When: Early Afternoon
What: Making some wine
Rating: PG-13ish?
Status: Complete

Michiru had spent a good portion of yesterday wandering the resort, and trying to figure out why the Planet had been so rude as to make her ocean disappear with no warning. You couldn't _do_ that. Oceans weren't supposed to just appear and disappear overnight. Yet that was what had happened. However, the Planet had seen fit to provide a very nice winery, and Michiru had spent the afternoon tasting some very fine wines. Which did not make up for the missing ocean, but was very thoughtful.

Now, with a rather self satisfied smile she pulled Haruka up the path behind her. There had been a sign at the tastings that mentioned that 'guests' could help make the wine. This seemed like it would be great fun. She didn't know much about wine making, except that you had to stomp on the grapes at some point. Haruka would probably like that part, since it seemed messy. Michiru was more interested in figuring out the whole fermentation process and how you packed the juice just right to get the different flavors.

She hadn't told Haruka where they were headed, preferring it to be a surprise. She hoped they could have a fun, relaxing time, and maybe distract her from the nagging sense of worry.

Michiru let Haruka lead her over to the stairs and accepted the help out. She laughed a bit as she realized her feet were stained as well. "No, not my color either" she said with a laugh as she bent to pull her socks and shoes back on. The juice from the grapes would probably stain her socks as well, but there didn't seem to be a shortage of clothes here.

"There is tasting" she said in response to Haruka's comment. She picked up the other woman's hand and let her down the stairs. "I found it yesterday. They make quite a good white here"

"Is that why your eyes seemed just a little glassy when you came in last night?" Haruka teased. She crouched down to pull her own socks and shoes back on. She straightened up and offered Michiru her hand again. It was nice to be able to walk around hand in hand, without worrying that people read into it, or grew jealous, or what have you.

"Is it a white wine that Setsuna would approve?" she asked. The senshi of time had quite a nice assortment of wine at home, and was very particular about just what bottles went into the mix. "I've always preferred a good red myself," Haruka continued. "Most whites tend to be a little too dry for my liking." She let Michiru lead her down the stairs and toward the wine tasting area. It really was nice to have a quiet day together.

"I was perfectly fine last night" Michiru said with mock indignation. Yes, she had tasted quite a few wines, but she hadn't been even remotely tipsy. Well, maybe just a little bit, but she wasn't going to admit that.

The tasting area was a nice, warmly lit room with wine bottles lining one wall behind a wood bar. One of the ubiquitous golems was behind the bar, and as they entered it put two glasses and a small bowl of bland crackers on the bar. Michiru dropped Haruka's hand and hopped up into one of the tall stools at the bar.

"They have red and white and I think a rose or two. I didn't get to try everything yesterday" The golem poured a taste worth of white wine into both glasses, and Michiru sipped hers appreciatively. "Setsuna would approve of this one"
It was times like this, simple togetherness times where she could almost completely relax.

Haruka raised an eyebrow at Michiru's protest of sobriety, but let the comment slide. She knew better than to disagree with her lover on matters of propriety. Instead, she took a seat and accepted the swallow of wine from the golem. She sipped it carefully and smiled. "She would indeed," Haruka said. It was nice, even if it wasn't exactly to her tastes.

The golem procured several more bottles and glasses. Haruka took her time trying each one, just enjoying the afternoon. She was mostly unaware of time passing, save for the shifting of light and shadow at the window near the front of the room. She began to feel a little tipsy herself after a while.

"I think that'll be all for me," Haruka said at last, refusing a rather tasty-looking red wine. The golem nodded and removed the glass from the table. Haruka knew her limits, and she didn't want to be too tipsy on her walk back to the dorms. She'd thought about going for a run, but not the way she was right now. She glanced at Michiru, whom she was sure would tease her about the wine. "Are you ready to head back?" she asked.

Michiru was feeling just the very slightest bit fuzzy when Haruka refused the glass of red. She had about reached her limit as well. She wasn't drunk by any stretch of the imagination, just a little tipsy and warm.

"You go on" she said, giving Haruka a small smile that said far more about her opinion of the other woman's state than words would have. "I think I'll take a walk"

Honestly, the walk was more to work off her own slight intoxication, but she was hardly going to admit that.
