It wasn't really nighttime yet, but Vaako had found himself waiting all day for the sun to set. He'd woken up in Riddick's arms still, and that's how he wanted to go to sleep. Free, free from his wife, forever. The Lord Marshal had said so. On top of that, the previous night had been the first time he hadn't had nightmares since he came to Mirage. Maybe it was that his hand stayed on the glowing print all night long.

He'd gone out, as usual, but found himself wandering aimlessly. He'd found all he could find in the library, he sensed that. There was nothing more books could tell him. They were on uncharted territory. Anyway, the sense of impending doom that he was feeling would have made it impossible to focus on reading. So, instead, he'd wandered through the warm sunshine, and this time, he didn't wear any armor. For the very first time, probably, since becoming a Necromonger, he went out without even one piece of the heavy plate armor. It felt different, walking around without it.

Finally, the sun had set, and Vaako had hurried back to his room... their room. He found himself going immediately to Riddick's bed, where the Furyan was still lying, and immediately joining him. It wasn't time to sleep, of course, but Vaako just wanted to hold him again. He was shocked and amazed that Riddick had allowed it last night. Sighing softly, he held on tight and whispered into the other man's ear.

"I think it's coming for me... I feel it."

Lestat de Lioncourt was a very powerful vampire already, but the ‘gift’ from Dahak had him feeling like he could take on the Planet itself. Yes, he was in a very good mood…one might go so far as to say serendipitous! He was on his way to cause mischief with Riddick again and to kidnap his roommate, Lord Vaako. Lestat smiled when he thought of kidnapping a ‘Lord’…The nobles always taste so sweet…their wicked ways always covered up by their maneuverings, suddenly stripped away from them when I read their minds and confront them. He couldn’t wait to play with Vaako…or to see Riddick’s face when he took him away.

Riddick…Richard…so tough and so much fun to break. He had to restrain himself from dancing as he neared their building. He remembered, days ago, flying Riddick up to the top of a mountain, where he couldn’t escape…he had broken the man, bit by bit…and Riddick had fought, but it ended with the big muscular Furyan slammed to the ground on all fours, stripped of his clothing…ahhhhh…it was glorius! Lestat had to give Riddick credit, for, even while he was brutally pounding him in the ass, the man never once whined or begged for mercy. Hmmm…maybe he will be able to make this ‘Lord’ Vaako beg for mercy…beg for his Richard.

How could he have been so wrapped up in his plans that he did not stop to savor the sun shining fully down on him? He did not burn…he had no pain. Mon Dieu! Ahhh…perhaps that was blasphemous, considering how he came to this experience! He opened his shirt and threw his head back, drinking in the sun’s rays, their beautiful warmth making him almost high…he could smell, with his preternatural senses, the sunshine in his hair and clothing…this was almost erotic to the vampire…and most distracting.

Turning his attention back to the job at hand, Lestat entered the living quarters and moved, like a jungle cat, down to the room Lord Vaako shared with Riddick. With a heavy, golem-like fist, he knocked one…twice…three times.
