Day 9 - Complete
Who: Brigitte and Tyler
When: 11pm , Day Nine
Where: Library
Why: Brigitte’s burning the midnight oil and runs into a familiar face.
Rating: PG-13
Status: Complete!

A storm still waged outside but aside from the odd glance out the window and her earlier excursion outside, Brigitte wouldn’t have noticed the shitty weather. She had ventured out sparingly on this day, once to go to the main building and the other to track down her sister Ginger. After eight long days of not seeing one another the Fitzgerald sisters had reunited and it went better than Brigitte had expected. Well, at least neither of them tried to kill each other this time or left in a screaming huff. Toward the evening Brigitte had taken leave of her sister, telling Ginger that she planned to visit the library for a bit. Ginger, who had never really been interested in books, left Brigitte to her own devices. Five hours later Brigitte was still at the library with a stack of books surrounding her.

So far the teenager had found some interesting tomes on werewolves and vampires but little to help her search for a cure for lycanthropy. A few hours of sitting had made her shoulders and back tense and her foot fall asleep so Brigitte decided it was time to get up and walk around to stretch out her limbs. The library was quiet most of the time Brigitte had been in there with the odd guest coming in but now it was completely deserted. The lone occupant walked between the rows of books, enjoying the solitude as she always did but found the dark silence a little eerily. Scared Brigitte? an amused voice silently questioned her. Oh that was rich. The big bad wolf scared of a dark library? Well, Brigitte hardly thought of herself as big or bad but she had to admit that since becoming a werewolf her normal human fears had faded to the back of her mind. Rarely was Brigitte ever scared of the dark anymore like she use to be.

Maybe the heightened senses help though, she silently mused when she heard the creak of a door. Company, she thought disgustedly and peaked out around one bookcase to see who it was. Nothing could have prepared Brigitte for who she saw entering the library.

Tyler didn’t learn much from Brigitte about werewolves but he did learn a bit more about Brigitte herself, such as the fact that she was from a place called Bailey Downs. Since Brigitte was incredibly secretive about herself, getting any information was rare and Tyler pushed it to the back of his mind for later. He scoffed when she said there wasn’t much else to tell. “Oh puh-leeze”, Tyler muttered. It was obvious Brigitte was lying but the teen wasn’t about to share anymore with Tyler as she made a hasty exit.

“Well, fuck! This is just great”, he groaned. “Planets, psycho sisters, bi-curious mood swings, drug-addicts and now werewolves. What else is this place going to throw at me?” Of course Tyler was alone in the library so no one answered him. Deciding he was too tired to read, Tyler left the library without grabbing a book and tried to catch up to Brigitte. He had little luck since the girl moved fast as lightening and was out the door by the time he got to the lobby. Tyler rubbed his temples and felt the beginnings of a headache. He was probably better off not following Brigitte and soon Tyler made the trek back to his own room to get some sleep.

Perhaps tomorrow everything would make more sense.
