Despite the turn in events, Aragorn, had been successful in rallying the armies of Rohan and Gondor. In the back of his mind as he now sat atop his horse, Aragorn allowed his mind to wander back to the Elf, a man that the Ranger had began to think of as a friend. The sudden disappearance, was still a puzzle to Aragorn and Gilmi. Even the Dwarf was beginning to miss Legolas and their little friendly competitions in battle. Sighing he ran a hand through his hair. If the Elf had been taken or killed, then Aragorn vowed today he would get that revenge upon the enemy.

Soon he had to put that out of mind as he moved to the front of the great armies that were gathered and ready for battle. The plan was to distract Sauron so Frodo and Sam could get past the Black Gates and destroy the ring. Aragorn knew that this was truly the only way they could defeat the dark enemy. He had to focus, the rest he could deal with later.

It was time. It was time for Aragorn to adress the troops and to encourage them before the battle. He moved back and forth in front of them on horseback. His eyes were dark with focus and intent as he began his speech.

"Sons of Gondor! Of Rohan! My brothers. I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of Men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of wolves and shattered shields when the Age of Men comes crashing down, but it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good earth, I bid you stand, Men of the West!"

Just as he finished the last word, things began to change and quickly. Aragorn had no idea what was happening.Things began to fade to black,or began to fade into the background completely. He felt light headed, dizzy and out of sorts. First it was him and his horse, everything else was gone now. At first, Aragorn tried to fight the complete darkness that threatened to take him,but it was too strong so it soon was able to do as it intended.

Something wet...something cold and wet fell upon Aragorn as he slowly started to stir. It took him a long time to realize it was rain, and to also gather that he was some place he had no idea where it was. All this made him come to very quickly and focus. His hands were on something grainy, rough. His fingers ran through it. Sand....?

Aragorn was quickly on his feet and looking around. He began to panic. Where was he? Where were the armies? Did Sam and Frodo make it in to destroy the ring? Did they defeat the enemy? His head was swimming with so many questions and thoughts. he was beginning to feel light headed again.

It was all very sudden, and yet, he supposed he should be used to the mood shifts in humans. If one thing was constant about the short lived race, it was change. Before he could fully comprehend what had happened, he was rearranged so he was sitting on the couch, and Aragorn was off chasing down his clothing. He watched, vaguely amused, as the Ranger found the last pieces flung all over the room.

He wondered, though, if the sudden change had been about their friend Boromir. Though, really, Aragorn had been closer to him than Legolas ever had. Again, he tended to not have much time to spend on humans, with the one exception of Aragorn himself. He'd been sad when the human had fallen, of course. But not the same way Aragorn had. Still, if that was what was bothering Aragorn, he would let him go, for now. The elf was somewhat known for making tactless comments, so he wouldn't be surprised if that was the case.

"You would be more than welcome, although I do not think Riddick will attend. He does not seem to me to be the sort that enjoys parties very much. You may have to wait for another day for that dubious pleasure."

He watched as Aragorn dressed himself, and hoped for his sake that the clothing was dry. Dark eyes tracked the Ranger as he prepared himself to leave. What could he say? He wasn't going to ask him to stay. He himself was far too much of a free spirit to try and chain someone down where they did not wish to be. So he simply watched, and nodded at the last comment the Ranger made.

"Yes, I would be glad to join you. This food is much better than your cooking, you should be glad to hear. It might even surpass the Hobbit Sam's cooking." he laughed softly, hiding his true feelings with the expression as he always did. "Remember, my King, that all you must do here is focus on what you want, and you get it. Your room, your clothing...."

To demonstrate, he concentrated and his room flickered back into the woodland grove it had been when they first entered.

"Just focus, and it is yours. Farewell, my friend. Until we meet again."
