Day 2
Who: Austin Powers and Tonks
When: Early Afternoon
What: Austin's Arrival
Where: Down by the lake
Rating: PG-ish
Status: Complete

Doo doo doo, da da doo doo doo! The chime from the intercom announcing a message from longtime friend and colleague Basil Exposition pulled Austin out of a dreamless sleep. His hair was quite disheveled and his glasses were haphazardly perched on his nose. Fumbling for the receiver, he first knocked it on the ground and then had to sit up in bed and reach for it on the ground.

"Yes, Basil, what is it?" His voice was groggy with sleep and he smacked his lips around the taste of morning breath. "Basil?" The intercom crackled and then died. Austin shook the intercom, then banged on it with the palm of his other hand. "Bloody piece of rubbish." He muttered to himself and stood up. Only, what he felt between his toes wasn't carpet. It should have been the shag rug, but it felt more like gritty dirt and sparse grass.

He looked down and wiggled his toes, finding that it was indeed, sand and grass. In shock he jumped back, expecting to land on his bed, but what he landed on was not his bed. It was more grass and sand. "What the.." Austin jumped up and turned around, the mass of hair on his chest rustling slightly in the warm breeze. His hands came up in a defensive pose, but there seemed to be no one around.

Feeling slightly foolish, he shrugged his shoulders and dropped his hands. He glanced around, reaching up to straighten out his glasses. He had never been anywhere like this, and he had no idea what he was seeing at first. But then the smell of horses and hay, dirt and water registered with him. He saw a big lake with boats tied to a dock, water lapping gently at the sand a few feet away, he saw a barn and large fields of nothing but hay and grass. And in the center, there was a clump of buildings that looked similar to the barn.

"What the devil?"

She should have been insulted by his advances, or at the very least, sort of amused that he thought that was the way to get what he wanted. Instead, she found herself tempted to actually giggle at him, and be really way too tempted by his offer. Even the way he walked seemed attractive to her. Which should have seemed bizarre.

"No, not to my room." The witch winked. "At least, not yet. It's the key to your room. We all have our own rooms here. I have some bad news, I'm afraid, but first... I'm Tonks. Nice to meet you."

She held out her hand, finding herself breathlessly awaiting the touch of his. Which was ridiculous. She was behaving like an idiot. Had she actually winked at him?

"Oh, the hair, no, it's natural. Sort of."

She wound her fingers into her hair and pulled up, hard, to demonstrate that it was, in fact, firmly attached to her head. She winked at him again despite her best efforts not to, and waited for him to shake her hand and maybe even introduce himself.

"Powers, Austin Powers." He grinned at her and took her hand. He made eye contact and then kissed her knuckles, for a moment too long. Releasing her hand, he stood up and brushed his hands over his chest again before they fell down to rest on his hips. He was still looking around at the place. "Bad news, kitten?"

He wondered what kind of bad news she could possibly give him. She was downright fantastic. He wondered if he could talk her into exploring this room of his with her. He looked at her from behind the outrageous glasses and watched as she pulled up on her hair. He was satisfied that she wasn't a man. He was far too attracted to her for her to be a man anyway.

He returned her winks and pursed his lips in something that might have been seductive on someone else, but from him was almost ludicrous. "Mmmh," and then he laughed softly. "Where is this room, baby?" He raised a brow and then held out his arm for her to latch onto while she showed him this room. And possibly something more.

"Austin, nice to meet you."

The pink-haired witch watched as the man kissed her hand, trying hard not to giggle. Which was strange, because she really wasn't much of a giggler at most times, and hadn't been for years. But his words brought her out of her little temporary reversion to being a teenager, and back to a more serious way of being. Not too serious, of course. That wasn't her style either.

"Yeah, bad news."

She linked her arm through his, just a little too eagerly, considering that he was not exactly fully clothed, and walked with him towards the main building. Head to the plaque, and then to his quarters. His were, she was sad to say, not in the same as hers. Perhaps that was best, given how she was acting.

"Alright, well, here goes. I don't really know who you are or where you're from, but you've been kidanpped, I'm afraid. It's a bit hard to believe, but nearly everyone here was taken from their own time, and maybe even different dimensions. And... Austin, you can never leave. Here, I'll show you this stone plaque thing, and then answer any questions you have, alright?"

"Likewise, baby." Austin grinned again. He could see that his mojo was working on this woman. Maybe if he kept it up a little longer he could coax her into his bed.

He tilted his head slightly to listen to the bad news she had for him. Patting her hand as it rested on his forearm, linked with his. He appeared interested, although he was looking at her breasts through the shirt.

He furrowed his brows in consternation when she began to tell him that he'd been kidnapped. That, he could believe. Dr. Evil might have been able to arrange something like this. But it seemed a touch too elaborate for him. And when she said that he couldn't leave he gave her a look of disbelief.

"Really, baby. You don't have to tell me such things to get me to stay. I'll hang around a bit for you. Yeah." He laughed again, his hips swaggering strangely. "But, take me to this plaque if it'll make you feel better, kitten." He grinned and adjusted his glasses as they grew closer to the courtyard where the stone tablet stood.

The Auror was too busy tripping over her feet to notice his eyes on her body, which might have been a good thing. Of course, the way she was behaving, she might have just been flattered and not hexed him into oblivion, after all. It was hard to say. Really, though, it was a moot point, because she didn't notice.

She led the way into the room with the plaque, and disentangled her arm from his. Standing aside, politely allowing him to read it, seemed like the best course of action to her. She remembered how shocked she'd been, and figured the best way was to let him read for himself. Nothing she could say would help him until he knew it was serious.

When he was done, she cleared her throat to get his attention. She had no idea how the British man would react to this. Hopefully much better than she, herself had. She was still struggling.

"Alright, there, Austin? Any questions?"

With Tonks holding onto his arm, he could feel each time she tripped, and he wondered if there were something wrong with her feet. But, as physical deformities could be a sensitive topic, he didn't bring it up. Just continued to hold her hand in the crook of his arm and walk along with her.

When they arrived in the courtyard and he saw the plaque centered in the wall of the building, it piqued his interest and he allowed Tonks to pull her hand free while he wandered closer. Pushing his glasses further up on his nose he leaned forward to read. His lips moved as he read the words engraven on the stone tablet and straightened up when he finished reading.

"Hmmm." He put a finger to his lips as he thought about this. If it was something contrived by Dr. Evil, it was quite elaborate. He didn't think Dr. Evil had the brain capacity to come up with something like this. But, perhaps his agents did. Number 2 could figure something like this out. He was the smartest one of them all. Still, it would cost too much money to do something like this. And for the man who held the world ransom, he couldn't believe he was behind it.

He turned to look at Tonks. "No leaving, eh?" He nodded to himself, coming to terms with it. "No killing, either?" Nodding again, it was just one more thing that told him Dr. Evil wasn't behind this. He shrugged and moved back toward her. Dr. Evil wasn't in the resort, but this beautiful woman was. And perhaps other beautiful women. "Rrrr." Purring he draped an arm around her shoulders and grinned his crooked grin.

"At least everything else is taken care of, right, baby? Where is this room of mine?"

She was fairly delighted with his response. She'd expected all sorts of things, from anger to fear to whatever, and he'd given none of them. His easy acceptance of the situation made her a little ashamed of her earlier temper tantrum, and though she didn't suddenly become resigned to her fate and decide that she could stay here, after all, it did make her start to re-think her instinctive reaction that she had to get out of here immediately. She would go home, if she could, of course, but running around blindly in circles wasn't going to help anyone.

"No leaving, Austin, or so they say. And no killing, which is fine with me, as long as there's no Death Eaters around."

Giving him a smile and even wrapping her arm around his waist, though she wasn't sure why she was doing any such thing, she nodded and tugged on him gently.

"I think your key says you're in Unit F, which is right beside mine. I'm in E. So, let's go find it! Oh, and just so you know, your room can look like anything you want. It's bloody brilliant."

"Right." He nodded, jogging his glasses. He pushed them back up with a finger and straightened. With her hand around his waist, he was feeling quite grand. Even if he was only half clad, and only in boxers for that matter. "So, luv, when it says that food and clothes will be provided, are they of this Planet's choosing or my own? What I mean to say is, will my clothes look the same?" He loved his british flag shorts and he would be sorely disappointed to lose them.

He looked at her quizically when she spoke of his room changing to suit him. "Really? That is bloody brilliant." He actually couldn't quite wait to get to his room. He knew exactly how he wanted it to look. Rotating, vibrating love bed with a disco ball overhead and animal print sheets. It was going to be nothing short of spectacular. At least in his opinion.

They arrived in front of his room, and he took his key and inserted it in the lock. Turning it he opened the door and looked in. He was slightly disappointed at first to see nothing but a plain room resembling that of a third-rate hotel, but then it changed. Right before his very eyes. And everything he wanted appeared. The disco ball bounced reflections off of all the walls and the bed began to rotate underneath it.

"Smashing, baby, smashing!" He grinned. "Sure I can't tempt you to join me?" He gave her one of his most debonaire smiles and raised one brow.

"No, no, of course you get to choose it. I can show you where the kitchen and restaurant are, if you want. You get to pick whatever you want to eat, and they just make it for you, just like that!"

She snapped her fingers, and then looked doubtful for a second.

"Only I think it might be just goo that they make into whatever you want, but I'm not sure about that. Anyways, clothing is the same, whatever you want just seems to appear in your dresser. Pretty cool, yeah?"

She watched, not bothering to restrain her curiousity, as he opened the door to his room. She had no idea what someone like him would choose for his surroundings, and she really wanted to know. When it changed into what he wanted, she gasped in absolute delight. The entire thing appealed to her on so many levels.

"Smashing, yeah, definately! It's amazing! I love it!"

She gazed around her in rapt attention, and then turned back to the man. She grinned at him and actually winked, which was very unlike her. She didn't normally wink at half-naked men, and certainly not ones that were inviting her into their bedrooms for undoubtedly nefarious purposes.

"Not this time. Although, why don't you get dressed and settled in. Later, maybe this afternoon, I'll show you where the food is and all that, how does that sound?"

Austin listened to Tonk's animated telling of the wonders of this place. He grinned and nodded his head in rapt attention. "Smashing, baby. Brilliant." He laughed and nodded again. "Very cool." He was excited to understand all the different aspects of this place, and all the magic that it seemed to hold. As long as it didn't taste like goo, Austin was pretty sure he was going to love the food here.

He grinned back at her as his room transformed. He was delighted that she was delighted with it. There weren't too many people who appreciated his style. He loved the way she winked at him. It was far too fetching. He was tempted to drag her into the room and shag her rotten, but he wanted her to want to as well. He could only try his hardest to tempt her.

He frowned when she turned him down once again, but he was nevertheless excited to explore his room. He wanted to get settled in. It felt like a vacation after chasing adversaries for so long. "It's a date." He grinned and stepped inside the room, watching her with longing before shutting the door and turning to explore his room.
