Despite the fact that he was still not happy with being on the planet, nor had he quite decided his opinion as to how his current situation related to the regulations he had to abide by as a member of the Shinsengumi, he had woken in a notably good mood (although, that said, bad moods weren't particularly common when it came to him). If nothing else, the resort was settled in pleasant surroundings, and he couldn't fault that. Whilst he wouldn't say they had had a positive effect on his health, he had felt no worse since arriving, which he had been pleasantly surprised by. He wondered whether it was the planet, or Dr. Matsumoto's medicine.

After breakfast that morning, he had made his way down to the lake. It was much more pleasant than it had been when he'd visited it with Sonya a couple of days previous. Weather affected the appearance and mood of a place quite dramatically. Whilst he didn't intend on staying here any longer than he had to, he wasn't sure whether it would be wise to spend every single free minute of his time searching for a way out of this place exhaustively. It would be pointless to tire oneself out needlessly and impair his ability to do so.

As such, whilst the weather held out (unlike several days previous), Souji intended to spend the remainder of the morning relaxing by the lake. There had been a couple of books in the library that had piqued his interest and he brought them down to the lakeside with him. In Kyoto, when he spent time at a near-by lake, there had often been children who always managed to amuse him. So far, he hadn't seen any children here (a fact he was somewhat pleased about; it would have been especially cruel to abduct children). However, he hadn't yet encountered anyone else that morning, so he really had no clue as to how many people were actually at the resort.

((ooc: Hopefully it's ok, if not, I can change it!))

Giselle had decided to watch the sun rise once more from the vantage point of the dock. She was sitting on the end of it, her pale yellow dress pulled up around her knees while her feet dangled in the water, tempting the fishes below to nibble at her toes. The sun had risen long before, but she was still seated contentedly at the end of the dock.

She hadn't seen anyone else that morning, except for the animals of course. She had risen early, still in the predawn darkness, and made her way down to the lake after dressing and tidying up her room. She had decided that rather than serenade people from her balcony, she would sing from the end of the dock. This activity had drawn masses of fish to gather at the end of the dock and several birds and other animal life to venture close.

They had long since disappeared, but a few fish still swam at her feet. She was simply basking in the light of the risen sun, now. The pheromones released by the planet had affected her the minute she set foot outside. She delighted in the smell, however, and had skipped down to the dock. Even now, all by herself, she was smiling dreamily.

She was off in her own little world when soft footfalls broke through her consciousness. She sat up a little straighter, turning at the waist to see who it was that approached. She saw the man and beamed at him. "Why, hello!"
