open 🌸 early evening, everywhere
[With temperatures slowly dropping and days turning into night at earlier and earlier hours, it's probably not a surprise when more signs of winter start to manifest in the coming days, not quite fully there but close. Traces of ice that aren't quite snow, chilly winds, and overcast days. Definitely a shift from the sunny opportunities of magical dates and the like.

With all that, of course, there's the need for those warmer clothes to keep the cold at bay, and likewise an increase chance of finding them among the shops and bazaar. Thicker, warmer coats to put on, mittens and hats, supplies to help with the ice, or maybe you're just looking to restock on hot-cocoa for home. Today certainly seems like one of those days for it.

It's not so bad that braving the outside is out of the question, either, of course - if you like this sort of weather, it might even make for a nice walk, with the right attire and maybe a hand to hold to keep warm. For those that might prefer staying in, huddling up instead... it's a perfect excuse too.]

[It'd feel like this, like his chest is tight enough to burst, even if it was the lightest hug ever tbh. Always does. He tries to get his arms around him better too, sinking into the hug, fierce even if he trembles. Even when his voice and the rest of him trembles, it seems all the more important to answer whatever would make Shiro feel hesitant, whether he understands why or not.]

Shiro... Me too. I -- [There's no words for everything he feels, even now, but he's pushing past whatever he'd been unable to verbalize until now, all instinct and intensity.] I love you so much.

[Hugs him tight so that Keith's tucked up against him, nuzzling into his hair and then kissing the top of his head, lingering.]

I... Thank you, Keith. [It's overwhelming in so many ways to know that this is something Keith can say even when he's like this. That he could have loved him for this long...] For loving me. I'm... I'm so lucky I know you, sweetheart.

You... [deserve better than having to wait so long for him to realize, too.] I'm going to spend the rest of my life making you as happy as you make me.

[It's difficult not to feel those words lurch through him for how significant they are, despite all they've already said -- difficult for it not to get caught in his throat almost like a gasp. The rest of his life. Their lives?]

[The admission comes soft, muffled into him, not knowing how much it's a sentiment he's already expressed to him older and more just something he almost wasn't sure he'd ever voice out loud because of all the implications of it. Even then, even this quiet, he sounds unwavering and sure of this at least.]

I didn't know I could be that happy. Like I have been since I got to know you.

[Even if it's not the first time he's heard such a thing from Keith, even if he's heard the sentiment several times over, it still affects him every time he hears it. It's overwhelming, to know that he could be that important to someone, after all.]

[He presses his face into Keith's hair, breathing out a little laugh, disbelieving and heartworn. God. The only thing he wants is to be worthy of this devotion.]

Yeah. Yeah, baby. [He runs his hand down his back and back up again, squeezing the back of his neck and slipping up into his hair, fingers curling.] The happiest moments of my life have been with you.

[It's such a combination of still finding it overwhelming, of all this really still taking his breath away, but at the same time, whatever hitches in Keith's breathing, even if he can feel himself still kinda explode inside and tremble all the way to his fingertips... He looks back at him and his own expression isn't so much hesitating or unsure. It's more--]

[Sighs too, even if it's shivery and a little hitched, fumbling only in the sense of... not totally knowing what he's doing. Does that stop him? No. It's not pushing in the pace, not exactly, but he tries it out a little longer than Shiro's kisses, wanting to, letting out another breath when he stops and stays close to his lips still. His heart is hammering so hard in his chest he's pretty sure Shiro must feel it the way they are right now.]
