Projective Empathy you say? What is that?

Michael really lived a fairly monastic life most of the time and in all truthfulness he was mostly okay with that. His empathy that made it easy to understand other people's emotions also sometimes made it hard to decipher his own. Which meant that intimate relationships were sometimes quite confusing.
He was hardly celibate, but he did try to contain his dalliances to accommodating townsfolk and not those in the carnival. So the fact that he had full out kissed Gil on the mouth was a bit startling to him. The flash of sexual frustration had sort of stuck with him however as Michael realized how long it had been for him. Friday evening after the failed performances and having to cancel too many that frustration seemed to peak. Even more so when he passed Gil and felt the sated feelings of the other man. Apparently he had found a way to deal with it.
Grabbing a towel, he stripped off and went to bed. He lay for a time, listening to the sounds of the people still moving around. Years of living in close quarters had enabled Michael to be totally silent as he wrapped his hand around his cock and squeezed gently. His hand moved slowly at first and Michael for some reason took care to keep his mind from wandering toward any one person. Gradually, his fist moved faster, Michael rocking up into each motion until finally he spilled across his stomach and chest in complete silence.
His body was limp on his bed as Michael caught his breath, quickly cleaned up his skin then turned over for sleep completely unaware of the completely storm of lust he'd broadcast to every mind within range.
