[Poseidon didn't get up to go to work Monday morning, spending most of the day in bed. His headache had finally started to cease since the other night, and Chelsea used it to her advantage to stay out of school.

"Dad?" Chelsea said crawling onto the bed beside him and moving his arm from his face. He responded with a grunt, straining to open his eyes. She curled up beside him. "You have to take me to school."

She looked him over. He'd hardly eaten anything in the last few days, sleeping more than he was out and that wasn't Poseidon. She didn't like seeing him weak in any way. She laid her head down against his chest listening to his heartbeat. It was slow and steady.

She was worried for her friends when she'd heard that loud whirling noise outside. Yet, here her dad was flipping on classical rock with a glass of gin in his hand.

"Dad really?" Chelsea said with a groan.

To Poseidon the wind and rain was calming. If she'd been an immortal child of the sea she would have known that. She was still young yet. He flopped down on the bed where she sat in a black lump under the sheet.

"Baby girl if anything comes flying through that window that sheet isn't going to do a fucking thing." She groaned again sliding it off her head as he laughed.

He laughed again downing his drink, trying not to think about anyone else he may question was sitting through this. He took another swallow of his drink. ]
