"Yeah, but you stayed for weeks, and he approves." Charlie smirked, and ruffled Harry's already tousled hair.

Okay, I'm pretty sure I approve, too. I always like a smirk and a ruffling and whatnot.

Harry tried to mirror the smirk as he looked over his shoulder, but he knew Charlie did it better.

Hee. I like this sort of thing several times, Harry being... he's comparing himself to Charlie and finding himself maybe less, but it's not whiny or anything. I can't say as I disagree, heh.

Banned from Gringott's is a yay. Of course the goblins would be all "um, no."

"Hot," Charlie whispered. "You worry about later. I have ideas about now."

Charlie's ideas were usually good ones.

Possibly he should have waited for Charlie or asked someone else to come along. It would have been sensible. If Ron or Hermione had been around, he might have been willing to take them, but no matter what good company Charlie might be, he wasn't that sort of established confidante, and Harry wouldn't give this to a stranger.

I love how this is a very revealing little thought: he trusts Charlie; he likes Charlie; he never the less doesn't know Charlie well enough for that, basically.

Expelliarmus! Oh, Harry. ♥

Oh, nice. It's a question that Harry understands to mean one thing, and I get to follow his assumption, but then, it means something else. :D

1. Love that he went from suspicious to action in defense of a sort so fast, and 2. Sorry about the yelling! Hee.

"With my assistance."

"Which I'd have now, right? I'm not claiming to know how to make anything. You tell me what to do, and I'll be your body, that's all."

Snape's only reply was a desperately quick nod.

Aw! Snape's all vulnerable! And kind of defensive, only trying to be dignifies! And Harry's all, Let Me Fix! Yay!

"Can't yell, huh? That's got to be rough."

The muscles from shoulder to neck felt like stiff rope. Harry stroked down them, pressing gently and testing what Snape could take.

"I am not accustomed--"

"Shh. You need this. It's not good to never be touched, you know."

Okay, as usual, I have no damn idea who you are, but clearly you know how to make me happy. There is touching. Touching and rubbing. And touching. Also, why would I not like this waterfall?

"Oh, was that a little too close? Or did he turn you down? He always --"

Harry shoved the man away, and Snape tottered on the edge of the chair for a moment before landing on the sandy floor.

Oh! ♥ again! This whole exchange, and you won--so Harry to be a little bitter, and he's taking care of him but he's also young and still pretty ouchy about things and all. If that makes any sense. And then "I didn't know."/"So I'll let you live." Harry shifted uneasily at his own harsh tone. Followed immdiately by do you need anything?

He knew this scar. Charlie had told him how a childhood attempt to play tag on brooms had caused him to scrape along the bough of a tree. He had been upset that he had broken off a small branch of unripened apples. His mother had screamed and rushed him to St. Mungo's.

I was so glad you liked this. This is the second time I've written for someone I'd had a lot of contact with, and I went a bit wild with including bits of your request. I reread a few of your fics to reconnect to the Charlie in your head, so I felt like I was prepared, and I had the plot all worked out ... and then I got completely stuck. I had started it from Charlie's PoV, and when I finally realized that it needed to be Harry's, then it worked. Poor sociofemme (my beta) was getting sections of this as I finished them, because I went to the wire with it.

Also, this is my first DH-compliant fic. It's entirely up to you whether it continues to the Epilogue or takes a left turn next summer. ;-)

Your squees made me so happy! :-D
