He pokes his head through the shirt to look by the door where Jacob mentioned his shirt was before looking down at the one he was currently wearing. "Oh, then this is...yours." He swallows, frowning.

Ben moves to get up and pick up his shirt, trying to think of what he needs to say to fill the odd silence that is definitely going to build and get worse. Probably make his head spin faster in the long run, too. "So," he starts, trying to decipher what the hell he wants to say.

It takes another beat of looking at his shirt in his hands before Ben just blurts out, "Do you like breakfast?" Oh yeah, he feels incredibly dumb right now.

It should have been a comical sight. Ben, trapped in a shirt that wasn't his own trying to tell Jacob the whole thing may have been a dream. Jacob just couldn't muster up the energy to laugh. Instead, he just tilted his head as he watched his friend emerge from the shirt and look between the one he was wearing and his own. "Yeah... but you can have it. I have others." He said, trying to give as noncommittal of a shrug as possible.

Jacob didn't move to get another shirt. Not while Ben was around and half dressed. Even if his favorite human had seen everything last night they'd both been drunk so it didn't count. He looked up at the sound of Ben's voice and waited. The silence between them was awkward and new but Jacob couldn't figure out how to fill it.

This time he let out a soft huff of laughter at the question. It was awkward but it managed to break through the silence and make things feel a little more normal. "Usually." he said, wrapping the blankets around him and scooting to the end of the bed. "Why? You thinking of inviting me to join you?"

"Oh. Cool okay. Then I'll just..." He nods, shrugging a shoulder and offering his shirt towards Jacob. He knew that Jacob had other shirts like here, but he thought maybe they were trading for now or something. The overall situation was just making his brain flip around and maybe the hangover was making him stupid, but this was Ben's version of trying to not just dart off.

"Yeah, I'll make some. Got anything good in your fridge?"

"Thanks?" Jacob tilted his head as Ben offered him the shirt he had been wearing the night before. He took the shirt and slipped it over his head. He knew he had his own clothing. They were in his apartment, surrounded by his stuff. If he needed a shirt he could just grab one. Ben had to realize that, too.

"I do, yeah. It's not a nightmare fridge anymore." Had they had that conversation before? Probably not. Jacob tried to do as little hosting as possible for obvious reasons. Having more humans in his life meant he tried harder to blend in.

He watched Ben for a moment, the corners of his mouth pulling down into a frown. "You okay?" He asked, before remembering Ben had been trying to slip out before he woke up. "You know... you don't have to stay if you don't want to."
