oo6 → Rescues Meme

* Post with your character, fandom, and any preferences in the subject line
* Others pick or roll 1-10 for the rescue scenario using a random generator like RNG
* Reply, rinse, lather, repeat.
* Start rescuing people!

1. Accident - There's been a car wreck or a house collapsed. You never saw it coming and now you're needing some help in getting out.
2. Captured - Seems a bad guy is holding you hostage for their own purposes. Hopefully some help comes along soon.
3. Stuck - You really thought you could fit into that small space/area/situation but now you're stuck and can't get out. Perhaps a friend can find a way to unstick you?
4. Reverse - You aren't the one needing rescue, it's your friend. Better save them quick!
5. Timed - There's a countdown somewhere, possibly a bomb or something bad you know is going to happen. Hurry up and get rescued!!
6. Double Rescue - Both of you need rescued. Better work together in case nobody comes along.
7. Weather - It snuck up on you, the bad weather you're caught in. Could be a hurricane, snowstorm, flood, etc. Find high ground and hope to be rescued soon.
8. For Your Own Good - You don't want to be rescued but apparently you need to be. Whether it's something you're not aware of or you're a danger to yourself, your friend is going to do the right thing and get you out of it whether you like it or not.
9. Trap - You thought this was a rescue. Dun dun DUN!!! It's really a TRAP! Possibly instigated by your friend. Who can you trust to get you out??
10. Free Choice. Any of the above scenarios or create your own!

She knew him from their proximity to one another only. She'd never laid her own eyes on him, but she knew his mind and she knew his face from his own recollection of his reflection. There was too much she knew about him, more than any one person should know about another. It was the bane of her existence.

The part of Alice that touched Seryth's mind shared in his elation, shared in his eagerness, and his sadistic toying with their captors. The rest of her, however, was a victim of that chaos. The fear he inspired, the worry, the panic that set in when he was free, that touched her, too. It caused her to shrink back when he drew near, to stare up at him with wide, frightened eyes. It wasn't her fear though. Alice knew he wasn't going to hurt her. In truth, he might be her only ally in this place.

"I can help you," she murmured, the sound soft as if the words formed were plucked form the ether and not her own mind. Or maybe they were his.

He had opened his mouth to say those words, but when she spoke, he had an idea of at least one of her skills. Most people may have been startled by the way she seemed to pull words straight from his mouth. Instead, he reached out his hand towards her, and repeated the words that he intended to say. "I can help you. I'm leaving this place, girl." Although his tone sounded as though it was a demand, she had a choice. She could either go with him, or remain behind with the scientists.

He knew the choice that most people would make, but he was certain not all wanted to leave. Especially not with the trail of people he was going to leave behind.

The gesture caused her to shrink back, at least until Alice realised he was reaching for her, but to her. She blinked once, slowly, then scrambled up from her cot and practically lunged at him. It didn't matter who he was or what he had planned for these people, she just wanted out.

"Me, too," she stated in a low voice, as if someone else might hear and spoil their escape.

	Seryth took her hand and pulled her towards him. "Get ready to run, girl." He wasn't going to wait too long. He didn't want her to think that he was ready to slow down. This was a very time sensitive escape. If they did anything wrong, she would get caught again. He lifted up his hand and created a wall of fire behind them. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Alice clung to his hand with both of hers and nodded once, even if it was vague and very unclear if she even understood. She didn't have anything of value there. She didn't even have shoes, just those hard-soled sort of socks, sort of slippers they let her wear. The flames burst to life and her eyes widened, not in surprise, but wonderment. The faintest hint of a smile tugged at her lips as the firelight shone in her eyes.

"Ready," she murmured.

Her verbal confirmation was enough for him to start running. He took off towards what he had known to be the nearest exit, but getting to that was the easy part. There would be people outside, and they would have to keep their pace until they got free of the gate outside, and were deep into the trees beyond.

"We will be running a little while," he said, still keeping up his pace.

"Keep running," she murmured. There was one thing Alice new and it was surviving. She might not be an athlete by anyone's definition, but if the chance to get free of this place and these people required it of her, she would keep running until he legs wouldn't carry her any further. It didn't even bother her that she'd be running without shoes and the soles of the booties they gave her probably wouldn't last for long outside. A few injuries were nothing in the face of impending freedom.
