010. Caught in the act

Caught In The Act Meme
(Extended Edition)

We all masturbate, it's nothing to be ashamed of. It's also something most prefer to keep private. But sometimes, people forget to knock while we're in the middle of things, and awkwardness ensues.

* Post with your character's name and fandom in the subject line
* Others reply, stumbling in on you.
* You pick a reaction from the list below. (Or roll 1-10!)
* PROFIT!

(Warning: possible triggers beyond!)

REACTIONS:
1) Embarrassment Yeah, someone just caught you in a very private act and you kind of wish the ground would swallow you up. Now.

2) Anger How dare someone barge in on you without knocking! You'll give them a piece of your mind right now.

3) Excitement Exhibitionism happens to be a major turn-on for you, so you'll just continue~ Maybe even ask them to give you a hand, hehehe...

4) Apathy Big deal, it's not like they've been living in a bubble where they never knew masturbation existed, and if they were they had to find out about it sometime.

5) Squick Either it was a family member who just walked in on you or you just feel so utterly dirty at having been caught doing something so personal.

6) Delayed reaction You didn't even notice they were there until after you finished.

7) Derailed reaction Oh no you've been--what is that on their head? Wait, the world's ending now? D-did you just see that unicorn? Worry about being caught later, figure out what the hell is going on first.

8) Frustration COME ON, EVERY TIME!

9) Relief Thank GOODNESS someone came by! Otherwise you'd have had to stop and go grab that toy/pillow/remote for the annoying stereo yourself. Also they could maybe swap discs because this movie isn't really doing it for you. What do you mean it's inappropriate? It's not like you're asking them to watch.

10) Wildcard! You know the rules!

What she'd been planning on doing was snagging anything of value and then borrowing a lifeboat. This was a plan that should have worked, given as how only the nightwatchman should have been awake during the hours of midnight and dawn.

Clearly the odds were against her this time around.

"What on Earth?" He flailed to cover himself.

Though initially startled, Anne was quick to rally herself, smiling broadly, "Not what I'd expected to find." She said, keeping her voice low, after all, it wouldn't do to alert anyone else to her presence, "But good form."

"Miss, you will tell me, now, what you are doing on my ship." He looked as stern as he could while naked and clutching a blanket over his body.

"I was just leaving, actually. I don't suppose you've a compass I could borrow? I could find my heading by the sun, when it rises, but I'd much rather be well on my way home by then."

That was the way she'd gotten away with a lot of what she had, by being straightforward to a fault.

"No, you are not. You are going nowhere. Certainly without answering some questions." He sat up, glaring.

"Now captain," She said, easing a little further into the cabin, just enough so that she could swing the door most of the way closed behind her again, though still standing open enough that she could get ahold of it to make good on her escape, "There's no need for that tone, we're all friends here, aren't we?"

"We are three days at sea. A friend would explain how she came to be here. A friend would try to convince me why I shouldn't have her thrown into the cells." He grit his teeth. He hated taking this tone with a woman, but there were some liberties he could not allow.

"Aye, we are." She agreed, "And three days asea with a deckhand by the name of Andrew, if I'm not mistaken." She added, spreading her hands a moment later in a 'here I am' gesture, "I thought you knew, to be honest. Most do they just don't mention it, superstitions being what they are."

She shrugged, "And as for not throwing me in the cells, I'm to meet with the Vanity in two days time, they know where I am, and they know where to look if I don't make the rendezvous."

His mouth dropped open. "You?" His crewman had been a woman in disguise. Preforming a mission of some sort without his knowledge. There was a nasty name for that. Spying.

His lips tightened. "I believe you owe me an explanation."

"You would believe that wouldn't you?" She replied, almost dismissive though still completely conversational as she leaned back against his desk, arms folding, "Though the real question is whether or not you're inclined to believe me, and that hinges completely on what you've heard about me."

She inclined her head then, a nod of acquiescence as much as it was one of introduction, "Anne Bonney, at your service."

"Oh I've been accused of both." She said, pushing herself up away from his desk again, "And now I really should be going. I am sorry for interrupting, you looked like you were making a good go of it before I barged in."

"You came on my ship under false pretenses. You have lied to me and my men. Who is the one making a mess of things?" He cocked the pistol, lips pressed grimly together.

"You forget," She said, still sounding almost amused, "I'm the one who's done this before, aren't I?"

One foot had inched out, barely moving and not betraying the movement with her upper body, hooking against the edge of the still open door, kicking it the rest of the way open in one movement even as she dropped herself under where he was aiming.

She didn't doubt he could track the movement, but was hoping that the movement of the door would distract him from her. This wasn't going to be a clean getaway, not by half, but she'd had worse.

He cursed and got to his feet, not bothering to pull on some trousers before chasing after her. In the dim light, it would be hard to hit her without risking damage to anything or anyone else.

She was sticking to the shadows as best she could, but her pale hair was as good as a beacon, even in the dim light, and she knew it.

She'd already readied one of the lifeboats before she'd gone to the cabin in search of a compass or anything else that caught her attention, and she was making a beeline for it now.

Anne moved fluidly, she'd definitely had some practice at this, swinging herself up over the side and into the waiting lifeboat, wasting no time in moving to lower it to the water below.

"Persistent." She said, amused, "Thought you'd decided I was mad."

Her brow was arched up at him, holding the boat steady where it was, debating whether or not it would tip if she just let it drop the remaining distance.
