Good Ending/Bad Ending meme
Do you get a happily ever after? Or a 'Rocks fall, everyone dies'? Why not both?

* Post your characters and set up two scenes. One with an ideal setting (They got what they always wanted, hit it big, became rich and famous, etc.) and one with a bad twist of events (They're homeless, everyone hates them, maybe they're even dying!).
* Others respond to one of the two settings (Or both in different comments, if they want!)
* Respond.
* ???
* Profit!!!

Just remember: no ending is set in stone, good endings can turn sour, and bad endings can be made better. Just see where it takes you and enjoy the ride!

	She nodded, brow creasing slightly, only then realizing just how bad off Erik looked, running her fingers against the back of Charles' hand, the one that was still holding Erik's, "It'll be a few minutes before Alex gets here with the car." 	Erik pressed his cheek against the back of the telepath's hand before letting it go and then moving over leading Raven back out of the hospital. He's not noticed it but the moment they're outside he visibly relaxes. "I'd say that's dangerous but in this situation he won't do anything stupid." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Raven brushed her fingers against Charles' hand again with a quiet, "Sleep well." Once outside she relaxed a little as well, nodding at Erik's statement, "He's actually got a bit more sense than we usually give him credit for." 	For the longest time he's quiet before shaking his head. "To be honest, Raven, I don't know. He acts like he's fine but he kept telling me things he shouldn't know. Right now I'm just going to worry about getting him home when we can anyway." That was all that he wanted. He didn't want the nightmares those wires gave him. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

She smiled, shaking her head as she curled her arm through Erik's as she often did with Charles, "Erik, he's always known things he shouldn't, that's just part of who he is."

She shook her head again, guiding him to one of the benches outside where they could wait, "Realistically we're probably looking at a week recovery all in all, a few days before they move him from the ICU to a normal room, and it's after that they'll talk about giving him a clean bill of health."

	"Maybe." He allowed himself to be manhandled and sits down beside her. The idea of Charles even being in this damn place that long... it hurt. Shutting his eyes he leans his head back and sighs. 	It wasn't long before Alex arrived to take them home. And just as Charles had predicted, Raven forgot about dinner, busy packing up a day bag for the next day, stashing a few things she thought Charles might want with him, since she hadn't thought to ask, she'd remember the next day. To be honest Erik almost forgets about dinner too. Funny how Charles can remind him and he'll forget not that long after. Actually it kind of sucked. It wasn't even noticed until he heard his stomach give a slight grumble as he sat in the study with the chess set. One man chess wasn't all that great.

After a few moments he'd gone downstairs and Raven would suddenly have a bowl of soup sat down in front of her. "You need to eat."

	"Then after that we'll get some rest since we're no good to him without rest." Not that Erik would be any good to him anyway. Especially with how he got in the hospital room. 	Another nod, still gnawing at the inside of her cheek for a moment before she set in to her soup, taking small bites. The metal bender was hungry and yet not. Though he really wasn't paying too much attention to either feeling. Instead he just ate his soup dreading the fact that he was, for once in a long time, going to bed alone. Maybe he'd go outside and see what he could get into. Find something to fix or just... something to do. Even if he had told Raven that they needed their rest so they could visit Charles tomorrow.

Raven took the bowls down to the kitchen once they'd finished, wishing Erik a quiet good night before she went off to bed herself.

Of course, when they arrived back at the hospital the next morning it was right after they'd gotten past a scare with Charles, he'd had another nosebleed sometime during the night, but it turned out to be because he hadn't slept well and the clip for his oxygen had nicked his nose, but now that he was awake again, and breathing well enough on his own, they'd taken the hose away.

Erik had gone to bed but it had been a restless sleep. Down to the point where he woke up a few different times. The telepath has spoiled him so to speak with the feel of his mind against his own and the warmth of his body there.

So when they do show up and have that scare he tenses a bit. Then again he was bound to tense up anyway since he was back in a place he couldn't stand. He just wants to know, other than the scare, Charles' process and when they could see him. That was all that he wanted.

Charles actually smiled when he saw them, relaxing back against his pillow, the shunt from the day before had been removed, and the new bandage across the top of his head was starkly white, likely it had just been changed. He was still hooked up to the heart rate monitor and the IV, but most of the scanners and electrodes from the day before were gone.
He was still pale, and just made a quiet sound in his throat as he beconed them over, speech, it seemed, was slow in returning.

	He nodded, fingers curling against Erik's hand, his grip was a little stronger that morning, but his fingers were still cold, and he held out his other hand to Raven as well, who smiled as she settled, taking it between both of her own.
