Good Ending/Bad Ending meme
Do you get a happily ever after? Or a 'Rocks fall, everyone dies'? Why not both?

* Post your characters and set up two scenes. One with an ideal setting (They got what they always wanted, hit it big, became rich and famous, etc.) and one with a bad twist of events (They're homeless, everyone hates them, maybe they're even dying!).
* Others respond to one of the two settings (Or both in different comments, if they want!)
* Respond.
* ???
* Profit!!!

Just remember: no ending is set in stone, good endings can turn sour, and bad endings can be made better. Just see where it takes you and enjoy the ride!

His fingers rested lightly against the back of Charles' hand again, "As is to be expected after something like you've been through." He replied, "You'll have time to heal here, we aren't planning on moving out any time soon."

"...they probably think I'm gone." Charles now realizing the X-men are probably looking for him. But he also realizes sending a message from here might give away where Erik has his hideout. He's torn about asking if a message could be given to them that he was ok.

"You could put me on my doorstep, I would fare just as well." And be out of Erik's way, which was what he was always trying to tell Charles to do.

"We won't be returning you there, the mansion's no longer safe." He sighed, "From what we've gathered the students scattered when you were taken, they may have split up, they may be sticking together, all we know for sure is that they haven't been taken to any of the government facilities we keep track of."

On general principles, their raids were much smaller and much more quiet than the one they'd just done, a small strike team, rescuing one or two mutants at a time.

No. Not the mansion. His kids...

Charles would jump up and run right out of here to find them had he the ability. As it is, he can only push himself up on his elbows. "We have to find them, they may be in trouble or..." Before realizing he said we. "...I have to find them. The parents will be worried sick." He was feeling pretty ill himself thinking about any of them captured or hurt. Charles was still quite pale after his ordeal.

He caught hold of the other man's shoulder then, keeping him where he was, "We're looking for them." He replied, "quite likely some of them simply went home, we'll find them, Charles."

There were a few facilities that the Brotherhood always kept tabs on, Xavier's had always been one of those, which Erik had explained as their needing to know if any students were leaving the place, because if so they needed to be given another option.

It shows how weak Charles is that Erik's able to keep him down with only one hand. He falls back into the pillow, reaching up to pinch the bridge of his nose with a sigh. "Weak as a kitten..." he didn't like being an invalid. Hasn't liked it since he lost his legs. "The parents will roast me alive, and I don't blame them."

"They probably will." He replied, "But some of them will understand who is truly at fault." Not many, he was sure, but a few, maybe even enough, though he doubted that, people tended to trust their governments, even when they shouldn't.
