Good Ending/Bad Ending meme
Do you get a happily ever after? Or a 'Rocks fall, everyone dies'? Why not both?

* Post your characters and set up two scenes. One with an ideal setting (They got what they always wanted, hit it big, became rich and famous, etc.) and one with a bad twist of events (They're homeless, everyone hates them, maybe they're even dying!).
* Others respond to one of the two settings (Or both in different comments, if they want!)
* Respond.
* ???
* Profit!!!

Just remember: no ending is set in stone, good endings can turn sour, and bad endings can be made better. Just see where it takes you and enjoy the ride!

	Erik didn't believe the peace would last. Not when it came to the inferior race co-existing with the superior one. "We'll see, Charles," he says simply. "We'll see." If Charles didn't want to see then he needed to keep the metal bender from leaving the grounds. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Those eyes narrow on the telepath the moment he feels him inside of his head, "Get out, Charles." However if the telepath delved far enough he'd find exactly what was going to happen. The metal bender didn't plan to let the inferior race get to them first. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

There it was. Erik wasn't going to change his mind. Charles is hurt deeply by his words...and his influence lets go of Erik, letting him move again as if letting him go.

...if only he could. A moment as Erik turns to leave, Charles begins changing his mind. "I am very sorry, Erik." Memories are being erased, all the way back, past the rescue when they were in the water, farther back than France, memories of Shaw disappearing....

...stopping when he reaches good memories of Erik's parents. Ones before the awfulness of the concentration camps. Charles breathes a sigh and opens his eyes, letting his hand fall to his side. It's done.

No, Erik wasn't going to change his mind. As far as he was concerned he could take on the world. It wouldn't be that hard to do. "You're sorry?" That gets a slight scowl out of him before he starts... he's not sure what he starts feeling.

There was suddenly things he couldn't remember and he didn't like that feeling. By the time Charles is done he just stands there, lost absently running his hand over the numbers on his arm from the concentration camps. So the telepath may of gotten rid of those memories but he couldn't get rid of the numbers that littered the metal bender's arm.

Turning a bit he stares at Charles that lost look still there.

	Charles feels sick. He might be physically ill after this. That lost look, almost parallel to what Moira had looked like once. He never does like erasing memories, even bad ones. But it had to be done. Without a word, he comes over, putting an arm around Erik. "It's ok...you'll be ok." He says reassuringly. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Erik stiffens a bit when that arm is put around him. If Charles took away memories that revolved around the rescue... What did he put in place of it? After all the rescue is where he'd met the telepath. Whether Charles thought to not take that or not was a whole other story.
