Good Ending/Bad Ending meme
Do you get a happily ever after? Or a 'Rocks fall, everyone dies'? Why not both?

* Post your characters and set up two scenes. One with an ideal setting (They got what they always wanted, hit it big, became rich and famous, etc.) and one with a bad twist of events (They're homeless, everyone hates them, maybe they're even dying!).
* Others respond to one of the two settings (Or both in different comments, if they want!)
* Respond.
* ???
* Profit!!!

Just remember: no ending is set in stone, good endings can turn sour, and bad endings can be made better. Just see where it takes you and enjoy the ride!

The scientist stutters out however many doses of truth serum plus Stryker's own serum to negate his powers. He says quickly that it isn't permanent and should wear off eventually and pleasedon'tkillhim!

Charles finally stops talking though it's uncertain if it's Erik's voice or he's too tired and finally run out of words to say. There's a sense that he's being called out of a very long fuzzy tunnel and tries to lift his head, his half opened eyes glazed over incoherently.

	Charles is limp as a rag doll as he's picked up off the chair. There's a long groan, almost a whine that escapes him as if now realizing he's being moved. The panicked scientist grabs for any weapon he can find....which sadly for him is another gun. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	The scientist looks like he might just faint, he's so pale, but he gets out that there is an antidote in the lab next door. If he helps him get it for Charles, that would be a good reason to spare him, right? Charles tries to speak, to reply back, even if he's not sure what was said to him. 	That gun doesn't waiver and those eyes harden, "If you're lying to me..." He makes a waving motion with the gun indicating that the scientist had better get a move on to get the antidote before Erik changed his mind. 	He stumbles out of the room, leading the way to the lab and going for a locked cabinet, fumbling with the keys to get it open. "T-th-that vial," he says, pointing at a green colored vial before backing away from the cabinet so Erik can get to it. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"You're positive it'll work?" That predatory grin is aimed toward the scientist. "You had better hope it does or I won't be sparing your life." Moving over to the cabinet he grabs out the green colored vial, opening it. Looking toward the scientist one more time he turns back to Charles putting the vial to his lips. He just hoped he wouldn't have to make the telepath drink.

Charles coughs and chokes for a second at first before he's able to get some of it down, swallowing as if on automatic. When the vial is empty, his blue eyes finally make it to halfway open, looking up at a very fuzzy image of Erik above him. He looked so far away...maybe Charles was imagining him...

The scientist goes back to hiding behind a table...as if that might save him.

For a moment the scientist is forgotten but if the man actually thought the metal bender was going to spare his life... then he was sorely mistaken. After all the man had been a part of this. Had done things to his telepath...

So the moment he leaves the room he collapses it. Everything metal rips from the ceiling, floor and walls caving in on the scientist. It was time to get Charles home. Though perhaps that could wait. He'd send Azazeal to get Hank who would be brought to him. To make sure Charles was fine.

	Normally the helmet would be on but he'd taken it off for this very reason. Just in case the scientist's little antidote had worked. Once he has Azazeal take them home he lays the telepath down in the room that was his at the place he was using for headquarters. I'm here, Charles. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Erik's not sure he likes having his mind leaked into like that. Doesn't think he likes the fact that it's being latched onto but he hadn't really thought of it. He wouldn't allow Emma to help with that either. It's really me. Rest. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Charles just holds tighter, as if Erik might disappear if he lets go. He's not thinking very coherently at the moment as he almost freezes Erik in place holding his mind to his own. I don't know if I told them anything, I hope I didn't but I tried, I didn't think we could make it, they could have killed me and gotten it over with, you would all be safe... 	There's a slight growl out of the metal bender but he takes it in stride. Tries not to let it get to him since Charles was still healing from what they did to him. Don't worry about that, Charles. They won't be hurting anyone ever again. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Slowly, Charles' thoughts settle back into a more ordered state and he lets go of Erik's mind as he realizes what he's doing. Sorry, I'm sorry... apologizing repeatedly for intruding. 	Of course the telepath wouldn't listen which annoyed him but he didn't let it show. Moving over he grabs a glass of water and then goes back to Charles helping him sit up some so he can drink it.
