Who: Hercules, Thor, and anyone else who wants to witness the most epic battle in the course of human history.
NPCs: Michael Buffer
When: July 7th, 2011
Where: Madison Square Garden. 46 Pennsylvania Plaza (8th Avenue & 33rd Street), Manhattan, New York City, New York.
What: Hercules has laid the challenge down to Thor, to prove once and for all who the mightiest truly is.
Rating: TBD
With a battle to be held featuring two super-powered individuals who each claimed divinity, Madison Square Garden was packed to capacity, and then some. All of the seats full for the live event, leaving many more patrons stood in the the aisles and around the ring, vying for the best possible view of the arena floor. For this occasion, the floor was done up in a long oval shape, and covered with sand as it would have been in an ancient contest. Because both of the contestants were possessed of uncanny strength, a barrier surrounded the oval that was originally designed to contain the Hulk. Two entrance ramps on each side of the oval, leading to the respective locker rooms of the participants marked the only way in or out.
Standing in the center of the arena, legendary ring announcer Michael Buffer stood with a microphone in hand and cue cards in the other, ready to kick things off.
"Tonight we gather to witness a contest the likes of which mortal eyes have never seen. A battle between not men, but Gods. Gods who are the premier warriors of their respective pantheons, whose adventures have been recorded, read, and celebrated throughout history. Tonight, ladies and gentlemen, we have the privilege of seeing which of them truly is the greatest."
"The rules are simple. The first God to make the other submit, or the last God left standing, wins."
Turning toward the ramp on his left, Buffer continued.
"Introducing first, from almighty Asgard, weighing six hundred forty pounds, and standing at six foot six inches of height, he is an Avenger, and Norse God of Thunder... TTTTTHHHHHHHHORRRRRRRRRRR OOOOODDDDINNNNSSSSSONNNN!!!"
(OOC: The battle between Thor and Hercules will run under the 'Main Event' tag. With the possible exception of Sue, Thing Standing in for Sue, and anyone standing in Thor's corner, everyone else can start new threads to witness the grand event.)
