Re: Mischief Making - Loki and Dr Strange
Sporting events, particularly of this kind, were hardly anything Stephen would consider entertaining. It had been literal decades since he had been to anything similar, and that had been a boxing match, though if asked he would be unable to name either one of the fighters.
What interested him here, and had brought him then, was not the prospect of a 'good fight', but the particular contestants themselves. That one of them was Thor, God of Thunder and Avenger, was without question. Though he had not had the opportunity yet to meet the deity personally, he had followed his exploits, as he had many of the other Avengers, so that he knew with certainty that this was truly the son of Odin.
But then, there was this other contestant. This Hercules. On the one hand, he supposed he should not have been entirely surprised, for if Asgard let loose its great heroes on the mortal world, why not Olympus too? But just as Thor and apparently now Hercules had made themselves known, Stephen also knew that the were other, darker forces at work as well from at least one of their respective realms. And as he pondered on this, he was not at all surprised to sense the dark sorcery that before now had only seemed like a dim calling upon the wind.
But now... it was much closer, so much that he could feel the magic at work around him. Which meant that Loki was here, and clearly about to unleash something. Leaning back in his seat, one indiscernible man in a bleacher among thousands, he began to look around for the source of the disturbance he was feeling before Loki could work his dark plans.
