The Gastronomy Fair first opened its doors 25 years ago with the intention of welcoming new and returning students to UML, as well as fostering the connection between the hodgepodge of cultures of Mar Luna through the almost universal love for food. While initially a small event, it has grown through the years to include nearly the entirety of the food industry; It's an excellent opportunity to make your food products known, network, as well as an opportunity to sample a multitude of dishes at no or low cost.
At the fair, you'll find a multitude of foodtrucks, most of them with some sort of free sampler and with discounted prices on the other dishes. Every customer is encouraged to vote for their favorite truck through the fair's online app.
Aside from the park's child rides, a ferris wheel is featured with the best view of the entire event and the beach.
A few local NGOs will be running a food drive through the event to donate these items to the shelters in Mar Luna and Taboga Town.
