Once again, Faihan is rallying these so-called "Weirdos" for a group sit down and discussion. This time, he isn't bringing Sukkar (because there already is likely to be a kitten, a dog, a lightning squirrel, and a bird in attendance), but he is bringing hot cocoa and maybe some little sandwiches he made last minute that are vegetarian sorry (though he is not really sorry). He will be keeping an eye on who came and how people are behaving, especially during any potential revelatory moments. Also, since he has exposed Eli, Juliet, and Alejo to possible spies among them, he will also note that he himself has fully awoken and present his recently acquired job stone.
Things he thinks are worth broaching:
What do people suspect these mysterious conjurers even want? If it isn't just to sow mayhem and release monsters into the world, then what? (He is waiting to see if anyone comes to Alejo's theory that possibly this is meant to wake all of them up, and that this is going to be used somehow by the opposition... If they do, or if Alejo brings it up, then he is curious about if anyone has any thoughts or suspicions about why they would want to do this/what they are trying to affect by waking the Chosen.)
Is there a point to continued patrols? Since there hasn't been activity since Juliet woke, Faihan suggests this might not be a good use of their time, and perhaps they should set up a different method for communicating in case anyone is "called" again. His suspicion is that the Chosen might be the focus of these monster attacks—so those still not full "woken" are likely to be the target of any coming attacks (and so instead of patrols, forming an open line of contact/keeping an eye on these parties might be a better way to approach things).
The relationship between the two shadowy figures that appeared in the past field trip training expeditions and whether they might be any of the three shadowy strangers (Scythe Guy, Rod Guy, or Dark Knight) they've encountered in the present...also anything anyone else remembers about those incidents that seems important. If anyone does remember any more defining traits from the run-ins they've had so far, past and present...that could be helpful.
From Alejo's previous list of names, the only one "missing" now is Gaius. Joaco did not volunteer that information, so Gaius is still considered unaccounted for within the larger group.
After wracking their brains for details, it seemed that very likely, the knight who saved Faihan in the first monster encounter was also the man who kidnapped Gaius during Group One's field trip experience. Alejo offered further information about the Dark Knight: they are the harbinger of the Shadow Calamity, they were first seen thousands of years before the Elysium memories during the first Shadow Calamity (where they were defeated), and they are the person the Chosen of Light had to defeat to save the world from further ruin. The mystery people from back in Elysium called the Dark Knight their leader.
There were some questions about why the Dark Knight let Gaius go in the past (and some might also wonder, though it was not brought up, why Faihan was spared in the present). Alejo's suggestion has been that it somehow benefits the group for these lives to have been spared. How, though, remains a mystery.
Likewise, the group was able to theorize that the conjurer from the first monster attack was very probably the rod-wielding antagonist that Group Two ran into during the field trip. Thus, their enemies then seem very likely to be their same enemies now. Their past memories do not seem to incorporate Juliet's reaper just yet, but ostensibly they were part of that group, too. At the very least, they are now.
Alejo told them that his memories, which do extend far past the rest of the groups, involve future battles. It was speculated that these battles must have been with this group.
From that, there was some supposition that probably in the past, that group was probably trying to cause the Shadow Calamity, and the dream that preceded everything—so far, their very last memory of Elysium—very well might have been them dealing with that situation at its head. It is unclear which side won, but it was proposed that possibly that group is trying once again to cause the Shadow Calamity here.
They didn't broach whether they were being led by this group to get their powers and what that might mean going forward, but Faihan has suggested, at least with Alejo, to be very careful when encountering this group about being extra wary of anything that the group might be trying to entice them to do, since they have no idea what might happen if they do play into their hands.
Regarding questions the group asked the Guardian of the Light Crystal (a.k.a. Milk): Milk revealed that they could feel the Light crystal somewhere in this world, and that if they were to find any Elysium artifacts, the kitten felt that they could activate the magic again (OOC: secondary/non-Chosen characters may now find job stones; see the GM for more information); Milk knows nothing of a strange black cat with blue eyes (shrug); Yuuki, previously a normal, mundane kind of guy, can hear Milk and thus must have some kind of high affinity to magic for some reason; Milk does not remember much about Elysium, and they don't know why anyone ended up on Earth here and now; they also don't know if there was a second Shadow Calamity during the group's previous lives; they were cagey on whether darkness was also an element akin to light.
Faihan privately asked the cat a few questions, but these were all in a one-on-one aside. Still, if interested in gleaning these IC answers for your character, please see Feefee or Milk for more opportunities.
They agreed to stop doing patrols. Instead, James is setting up a phone tree (which is basically a call network) for any further incidents. Faihan, as noted above, would have suggested they do keep an eye on Wren and Jomana, since many of the previous attacks seemed to be in some way involving and possibly, therefore, aimed at the Chosen, and those are the two who have not fully awoken yet.
Though private to the other now-awake Chosen (Juliet, Eli, and Alejo), he suggested that the three of them put in an effort to just always be in the vicinity of those two, to keep an eye on things. So hopefully, going forward, one of the three will be on hand if anything does happen to Jomana or Wren. Ostensibly, I would expect that since Eli and Juliet are closer to Wren, they'd hang out/watch over her; since Jomana is Faihan's sister, and Alejo is Faihan's birthday, those two might focus on Jomana. Additionally, he is asking them to be on guard for Need to Know information in the future, because if it does come up, since they can't be certain who is now among the "Weirdos," they have to be very careful about not sharing anything that could be critical to their own plans. More for the future than now, but you know.
