[He is not sure how he came to be in this place, but Muraki cannot help but be intrigued by what he sees. Tall walls, no windows, and yet a large dark dome overhead. No light penetrates, no clouds to be seen, and yet the world outside the dome appears to move. Fluid.
Under water?
The device on his ear and around his eye reminds him of the headpieces worn by telephone operators. There is a strong metal chain with a heavy sphere attached around his ankle, which he finds more that a little laughable, but it is undoubtedly there for a reason. The screen of his small headset lights up and a voice greets him through the earpiece.
Criminal? It's almost amusing, to contemplate being referred to by such an simple and moralistic term. The list of "crimes" he has been found guilty of, is read to him and scrolls down the screen. It surprises him somewhat, how detailed they are, but then again, it is not something he is overly concerned about either. He primary objective is to find out more about this prison and this artificial intelligence that controls it.
A hand goes up to his face, feeling the soft leather covering the right below his brow, knowing the sense of absence behind it. The loss of the eye he went through so much for annoys him, but it is something that can wait for now.]
[Voice]
Good afternoon [the voice sounds light, peaceful, even a little curious], I am in need of some assistance. I am not quite certain how I have come to be here, but hope that someone will be able to provide me with more information about this facility.
[There's a moment of silence, as if he is distracted, or perhaps thinking to himself.]
Or even a guide perhaps? I would be most grateful to the person willing to facilitate me in becoming better acquainted with these new surroundings. The corridors all look the same, very hard to navigate through.
