[It was only a matter of time, really. She's kneeling in a corner, attended by three kittens in various stages of affection and consistent thwarted attempts at crawling up her.]

[Giggling, she dislodges the grey one from its grip on her dress for the umpteenth time, setting it down, and moves to attend to the ginger one, meowing plaintively and butting its forehead against her hand.]

With an eye roll of resignation, Midori reaches back to unclasp the necklace and shakes it like a toy, letting the black one paw and leap at it.] Yeah, she helped me out on my first day. You totally should! Everyone's really nice. [Excitedly.] Last meeting I went to was really relaxed -- there was one guy, Fai, who couldn't sew very much, so I helped him out. You should come by.

[One particularly strong swat from the black kitten has her drop the necklace.]

[The kitten promptly picks up the piece of jewelry in its mouth and darts off with it.]

H, hey! Get back here! [Shocked into a standing position.]
