[ Note: The first part of this post backdates to the night before going to sleep. ]
[ Terminal had just turned off his communicator after all the intense discussion about vampires. As he sits there on his bed and updates his journal, he is very irritated by how people reacted to his statements. Here he was trying to do something completely constructive, and yet due to a single comment designed to illustrate how dangerous the situation was, it had somehow back fired on him. He laughed to himself and thought about how this must be how a president would feel if he got impeached for saying something bad about metahumans.
Sitting there, Terminal realized he was going on nearly 2 days without sleep. His make-up was running from his increased body heat due to the confrontation. Worse yet, he was visibly shaking with anger... or nervousness. He hadn't felt this way since he was scolded by his mother for screwing up on his 9th grade science project. Terminal decided to wash off the make up with the water he kept in his room, then realizing the chill from the lack of heating, put on his school blazer before covering up with his blankets. Things were only going to go downhill from here.
The next day Carter Wilson wakes up to the sound of Sentience's announcement. A wave or relief comes over him as he realizes that Sentience and the dome had been restored, but then as if to steal his hope, the message cuts out. He let out a sigh as he realize that today was going to be another tough day, and his popularity was down due to the previous nights fiasco; assuming he had any real popularity to begin with. Carter looks over to his Terminal outfit, as he normally would begin suiting up right away. Maybe not this time though... Aside from the outfits lack of isolation, something about him didn't want to be Terminal right now. Some sort of internal struggle perhaps, and after all this whole fiasco was "Terminal's" fault. Perhaps something more constructive could be done, like the group projects he would do in school. Of course... he was alway the leading force behind those project, as he never handed over any real power to others in the group. Perhaps it was time to start trusting people?
[ Note: I've made the error of tagging with the wrong icon through this post... there should be no "Terminal" icons in this post. Sorry about that... ]
His internal struggle continues through the morning, and Terminal's voice echo in his mind, telling him that he is alone here, and that he couldn't trust those monsters. That these were killers, and only a fool could choose to engage in civility with them. Carter Wilson took a deep sigh and swallows Terminal's voice. Something had to be done, and he knew where to start first. Carter Wilson picks up the communicator and turns it to an open channel. ]
[ Terminal's voice comes across the channel, but it sounds different. Lighter in tone, almost as though his usual bad-boy attitude was missing. ]
To everyone I talked with last night, I wanted to extend an apology for my harsh words. The truth of the matter is, I never had a reason to consider vampires as anything more than myth until a couple weeks ago, and after the situation a few days ago... It merely served to enforce my fears of them. There is little good in fighting amongst ourselves here, and to those I insult, I hope you will... excuse my ignorance of the matter. I shouldn't have judged all of your the same as that psycho from a few days ago.
Regardless of the matter though, most of us still have the problem of being trapped in this prison, and I know I would like to return to my home. Again I ask, that those of you willing to work with me on getting out of here, please contact me. I won't pretend to have any grand plan right now, but we should at least know who does and does not want to leave this place. Something this big can only happen if we work together.
