[video/action | location: Beach; Sector 4]
[A video sudden appears on the feed revealing a tilted image of a young woman's shoulder and a part of her face as she mummers softly under her breath. The muffled sound of fingers pressing against the plastic can be heard over the audio as the communicator is flipped around and examined at all angles. In the background, the rushing and rolling waves can be heard indicating her location is somewhere along the beach in Sector 4.]

[The sentence is cut off with a loud thud when she sets the communicator on her lap, the mouthpiece brushing against the steel of her boot. The video now reveals her face fully; bright blue, iridescent eyes scanning over the pamphlet. One hand is brought up close to her mouth with her brow furrowed as she is deep in thought.]

... hmmm.

[The newcomer looks down at the device with skepticism before picking it up and placing it properly on her head. She sounds hesitant, at first.]

... Am I really stuck here for good? Seems no different than my previous residence.

[A chuckle and then a sigh, her gaze wonders to the side towards the water. Perhaps it's the shock that causes her to fall silent but she makes no move to end the video, her thoughts elsewhere.]

	I don't think the warden discriminates much between minor and serious crimes. There are murderers here, along with those who've never done anything worse than stolen something from a store. [Her face is solemn as she says all this. It's a sad fact, but true.] We have a defense force to try and keep any truly dangerous criminals in line. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	[Karen shrugs a tiny bit.] I'm not sure Acumen has any real logic. At least, not the type we can understand. [She brightens up at the mention of the DF though.] You should talk to Suzaku or Lacus! [~~Operation Persuade Aqua To Go To Prom commencing!~~] As long as you remember to take care of yourself. You're important too, okay?

You don't need to worry about knowing anyone. The whole point is to go and have fun and meet new people. I'm sure there'll be a lot of people your age there, and you don't have to stay the whole time if you feel uncomfortable. [Not to mention Aqua would look so pretty in a dress. ;o;]

[She takes a moment to consider her options, brow furrowed as if she were making a life changing decision.] I... guess it wouldn't hurt. Alright. You've convinced me. I'll go to Prom. [She wouldn't admit it but she might feel a little like a princess in a pretty dress! :3]

[Karen smiles that that, but it's a softer smile.] We all start not knowing each other. You seem like a kind, honest young woman and I'm sure as I get to know you better, I'll only see more of that.

[Aqua's agreement makes Karen very happy though, and her smile grows wider.] I promise you it'll be fun. And you'll get to dress up too! I bet you'd look lovely in a dress.

[Karen gives a nod at that.] It shouldn't be too hard to find a dress. It might be a little late to have a custom one made - there are several people in here who are quite talented at designing and sewing [her face falls for the briefest moment at the thought of Nakama] but if you don't mind something simpler, there are plenty to choose from in the clothing store.

I can take you there later, if you'd like.
