Alternative You Event Info
On Day 387 (August 1-7) things have changed for you. You just don't know they changed. You woke up as an AU version of yourself, but as far as you know this is the way it's always been.

ALTERNATE REALITY FLAVORS:

• Genre — High school? Musical? Post-apocalyptic? Western? Rule 34? Space? Vampire?

• Shifts in your history — You chose to follow your dream of being a singer instead of going into terrorism years ago? You were never cursed by a witch? Your parents were never killed so you didn't become Batman?

• Shifts in your world's history — Space travel was never achieved? A war had a different victor? Pollution rates tripled?

• Random — You are now someone's long lost lover or a different species or gender or anything. You've seen how it goes in movie reboots.

These are just examples. The possibilities are endless!

PHYSICAL CHANGES: Your character can have all the appropriate physical transformations you need—eyebrow ring, purple hair, scars, wheelchair, species change, powers, etc.

ENVIRONMENTAL CHANGES: Of course, you don't have the trappings of your AU-supported world around you. But maybe your apartment and wardrobe better reflects the current you. Or maybe it doesn't. Sometimes the wardens fully support their work and sometimes they get a little lazy, so the details are up to you.

PRISON-RELATED MENTAL CHANGES: You can transform your character's perception of their relationships and role in the prison accordingly, leave it how it is, or you can imagine that they only recently arrived. Do what works best for you and your AU!

AWARENESS: Just because you don't know anything has changed for you doesn't mean other people won't notice you're different even if they've been affected too. You can also think some people have changed and others are the same. Whatever works!

SHARING IS CARING: People can also share AUs even cross-canonly.

NEW JOURNALS: If you want a new journal for new icons you're welcome to it. You just have to make posts/top-levels/first comments with your regular journal so we (the mods and those you're playing with) can be sure it's you!

EDIT: FAQ

• IC Rules — The wardens will give people a pass on the IC Rules this time because they aren't themselves. The wardens also aren't announcing this free-for-all or anything, but if a crime of passion (any sort) occurs they won't bring you up on charges. Of course, being back in our regular facility means death will be handled as it usually is and not on a permanent basis like it was in the Pleasure Prison.

• Memories after the event — You will remember what happened while affected and a little about the circumstances of how you got to be that way if you'd like. You won't remember an entire lifetime's worth of memories though. It will feel more dreamlike.

Duo is going to be my Hogwarts AU from Sorting Hat, because why not? He's a Gryffindor Beater, but a trouble maker with a lot of detentions under his belt. His parents, like Harry's, were killed in the first coming of Voldemort, though much less personally targeted. They were just casualties of the fighting. He was raised by a family friend, who was a priest, and then went to Hogwart's at 11 when he got his letter. The priest knew about the wizarding world. Also, this means he won't remember Marina at all.

Tieria is earlier in canon. Instead of being from near the end of the movie, he's now shortly before the final battle in season 2. His difference is that he decided to take Regene's and Ribbons' offer and join the A-LAWS. The catch is that he's doing it partially under cover. His motives were two-fold. He wants to get Veda back, but he doesn't want to abandon Celestial Being, so he's pulling a double agent act. He's figured out Wang Liu Mei's situation, and has recruited Regene to his side. The three of them have been feeding information on the A-LAWS and Innovades back to Celestial Being. He and Regene have also been working on a way to keep Ribbons out of their heads and close off a portion to Veda for themselves to continue their double agent work while trying to hide it from Ribbons. Their efforts have started to confuse the supercomputer, and things are coming to a head as Veda has been slowly cutting off more and more of Ribbons' access in favor of the other two. This also means he won't remember Marina, so this should be interesting.

Piper is from a canon-AU where Paige never came into their lives. Cole went back in time, and made it so that Paige had been unable to save herself from her adopted parents' car wreck and died with them. Piper has taken up the mantle of revenge against Shax for Prue's death, has not married Leo, and has no kids. She's much darker and angrier in this version, making her quicker to use her powers against others. She also wears a lot more black leather. Expect a wardrobe change. She will also not remember Marina.

Kitty is now movie-verse Kitty from the X-Men movies (pre Days of Future Past). She's very intelligent, has a massive crush on Ice Man (but not really seeing him, yet, because Rogue), and isn't quite as super bubbly as Evo!Kitty. She's also just made the decision to keep her powers despite Rogue considering giving her own up by using the serum. As with my others, she won't remember Marina.

I'm going to have four new arrivals! LOL
