Heatwave Event - Day 377!
Summer is approaching and the wardens have decided to turn up the temperature for a day!

For the duration of Day 377 (May 23-29) the dome will be experiencing a heatwave. Temperatures will rise to 90°F/32°C and the wardens will treat you to all sorts of cooling techniques, including water balloons, super soakers, appropriate beach wear, cold treats in the food stands and a full-blown waterpark in Sector 0!

no no I meant Lelouch's attempted tackle would somehow injure himself, he weighs like 90 pounds soaking wet, I imagine.

Yeah, this kid. Well. All the spoiler warnings, but he comes into Marina having literally just died at age ~18 as ~history's greatest monster~ to ensure world peace. His little sister wanted the world to be a gentler place, and after much trial and tribulation he concluded that this was The Only Way and had his best friend publicly assassinate him. The boy has a lot of guilt over some things that happened along the way, like... accidentally causing another sweet-as-pie sister (Euphie's here in Marina) to go on a bloody genocidal massacre and then being forced to kill her because he couldn't break the curse and she was never going to stop... so, atonement! yay! But Lelouch probably wouldn't have ended the series the way he had with no regrets if not for the fact that he secretly is of the (Very Wrong) opinion that no one would really miss him that much if he were gone. Lelouch also has trust issues up the wazoo, stemming from a traumatic event in his childhood but continuously reinforced over the years to the point where he has a lot of people he likes and even loves, but expects almost all of them (and everyone else he's ever met) to betray him at the drop of a hat.

(On the plus side: even if Max IS a jinx, he couldn't possibly make Lelouch's life worse?!)

I would also happily point him at Lelouch's canon mates. ~~Kind of all of them?!~~ Suzaku is suicidal, and is only still alive because in a panic Lelouch "cursed" him to live and has ridiculously low self-esteem, especially right now. Even Euphie, who usually puts on a good cheerful front, feels pretty worthless and also has a load of guilt from the thing up there in the first spoiler block.

Basically CG is a mess full of teenagers with varying-degrees-of-debilitating self-worth problems!

He's a precious stupid puppy, tbh.

BUT. No, no, it sounds like he might find his people because if anyone knows about self-worth issues, it's this guy right here. I mean (and this is kind of spoilery for the early movies and game and graphic with animal and people death but) he couldn't help his best friend, who was burned alive by what they called nomad biker trash, and he couldn't save his wife and kid, who were run down by the same gang, his dog got shot by another group years later trying to defend him (and he knew he was bad news for the dog because he never gave it a name, he just called it dog). He's never returned to a group he's successfully helped, because he knows it would be a death sentence for them. In the game he met a slave woman and her kid, and she saw him as their savior when he knew he'd just get them killed but he bought into it anyway with the idea they could leave and have a life somewhere (and imo he wanted it even if he knew he didn't deserve it), got super attached to her kid, and then absolutely lost his shit when they got killed, along with the dog he saved (that he also just called dog) and went on a revenge killing spree so I mean. If they ever need to feel better about themselves, at least they're not Max.

And all of the above is really awful, because he used to believe in giving people back their heroes. And in a way he does??? But he doesn't see it that way.

Also them being kids is A+, really, he's so super soft on kids even when he tries to be a hardass. (Spoiler: Max is bad at being a hardass.)
