Heya! Rin here, I also play Rowan Fae (journal: freepour), my original character.

Here, have a man who is obsessed with protecting LITERALLY EVERYONE. No, literally, everyone. That is his thing through pretty much the entire first book. His name is Kaladin, from The Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson (Mistborn and the conclusion to the Wheel of Time series). He has a tagalong with him, a sprite by the name of Sylphrena, or Syl. Most people can't see her, unless she chooses to appear to them, though if your character normally sees things that others can't, I give you permission to acknowledge her presence!
